Marshall C. Stone

GLENS FALLS – Marshall C Stone, 86, of Glens Falls passed away on Friday, March 8, 2019, at his home.

Born April 13, 1932, he was the son of the late Jay C. Stone and Madeline (Clark) Stone Dineen and his stepfather, Jack Dineen.

He was stationed at Smokey Hill AF Base, Salina Kansas.   Marshall was active duty for 4 years followed by two additional years inactive duty.    He also had temporary duty at (upper) Heyford AFB near Oxford England. In 1956, he was honorably discharged.

In 1953, he married Ann Gazzillo.  They were married 65 wonderful years.  He started working at Finch Paper until the early 80’s.  Some might remember him as the part time owner of his Painting business “M.C. Marshall was well known for his humor.  He loved to make people laugh with his jokes and would make friends instantly. On a warm day, you could always find him smiling on his front porch, saying hello to the people that passed by and offering treats to those who were walking their dogs. He loved being on the porch so much. And on the cooler days you would find him watching his favorite team the NY Yankees. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
