Barbara F. (Brown) Rich

HOOSICK FALLS – Barbara F. (Brown) Rich, 67, of Hoosick Falls passed away on Friday, March 1, 2019 at Albany Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.

Born on February 28, 1952 in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of William Brown and Ruth (Gray) Bennett.

On February 20, 1975 Barbara married her loving husband, Keith Rich, in Hudson Falls.

Her hobbies include crocheting, watching television, and babysitting.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was predeceased by her step-father John Bennett; and her maternal grandparents, George and Florence Gray.

Including her husband of 43 years, Keith Rich of Hoosick Falls, she is survived by her two children, Julie Rich of Hoosick Falls and Timothy Rich and his fiancé, Cassandra Wilkins of Hoosick; her brother, John Brown and significant other,  Cindy ­­­­­­­­Chard of Fort Edward; her sister, Colleen LaPoint of Hoosick Falls; her uncle, Larry Gray; her nieces, Jessica LaPoint and Nicole Richardson and her significant other, Terry Randolph; her nephew, Brian LaPoint; many cousins; and many who were considered her grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 8, 2019 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.

A graveside service at Moss Street Cemetery, in the town of Kingsbury, will be announced at a later date, in the spring.

Memorial donations in her name may be sent to The American Heart Association at 4 Atrium Drive #100, Albany, NY 12206 or the Town of Hoosick Rescue Squad at 21 1st Street, Hoosick Falls, NY 12090.

Joanne M. LaMour Rich

Rich, JoanneHUDSON FALLS – Joanne M. LaMour Rich, 78, of Deer Run, went into the arms of the Lord, on Friday, July 18, 2014, after a short battle with cancer.

Born on November 16, 1935, in Port Henry, she was the daughter of the late Maynard and Monica (Rose) LaMour.

Joanne worked for the Grand Union Co. in Kingsbury for 24 years. Following her retirement she was a Teacher’s Aide through BOCES.

Joanne enjoyed spending time working in her flower garden.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Michael D. Rich and her brother, George LaMour.

Survivors include her daughter Kim Rich-Dineen of Hudson Falls; her two grandsons, Nicholas Lyon and Christopher Rich; one brother, Robert J. LaMour of Moriah and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

At Joanne’s request there will be no calling hours.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. on Wednesday at St. Mary’s/St. Paul’s Church on the Park in Hudson Falls.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family at St. Paul’s Cemetery in the town of Kingsbury.

The family suggests memorial donations be made to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital,  262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Robert C. Rich

RichQUEENSBURY – Robert C. Rich, 65, of Robert Gardens North, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2013, at his home.

Bob was born on August 12, 1948, in Glens Falls.  He was the son of Robert P. Rich and Joyce (Lowell) Rich, both deceased in 2009 and 1960 respectively.  He was also fortunate to have Jeannine (Cahill) Rich as his step-mother since 1961.

Bob defined himself by his work in sales, of which he took great pride; and earned a reputation of high integrity with his work ethic and kindness towards others.  Although his work required constant travel, his personal interests were in traveling, meeting new people, and a passion for learning and discovery.  He wishes to thank all the people he met in his life for the many kindnesses and courtesies offered to him.

He leaves behind the love of his life, Francine Martel of Marlborough, Massachusetts, a brother, John A. Rich and his wife Marjorie, and their children; a former wife and dear friend, Lyn L. Rich and her daughters Tawn Knights and Tara Houseworth, and their families of Glens Falls.

At Bob’s request there will be no calling hours. 

Interment of Bob’s ashes, with a Christian burial, will be at the convenience of his family, at Greenmount Cemetery, in Whitehall.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Carleton Funeral Home Inc., 68 Main St., Hudson Falls.
