Mark Novotny

HUDSON FALLS – Mark Novotny, 54, of Dalton Avenue, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Sunday, November 4, 2018.

Born on February 10, 1964 in Nutley, NJ, he was the son of William Novotny and the late Patricia (Hollenbeck) Novotny.

Mark was the soulmate of Janice Cardinale and together they shared 30 wonderful years.   He played a major role in his family’s life.  Along with Janice, Mark raised his step-children, Jason, Kristina, Justin and his grandchildren and enjoyed spending special time with them.   He thought of them as a father and cherished being a part in their lives.   

Mark was a skilled auto mechanic, who could fix any car.   At one time, he owned his own business, Mark’s Auto Haus on Dix Avenue in Hudson Falls and after, worked for several area dealerships, most recently Ringers Car Country.

He had a magnetic personality that made people laugh and feel important.  Mark always brought out the best of everyone and could brighten up the lives of his family, friends and even strangers.

He enjoyed riding his Harley and made many motorcycle friends throughout the years.

Survivors include his loving partner, Janice Cardinale of Hudson Falls; his son, John Novotny; his father, William Novotny Jr; his stepchildren, Jason Cardinale, Kristina Annis and her wife, Stephanie and Justin Cardinale; his grandchildren, Hunter Mullen, Stella Mullen and Spencer Annis; his two step mothers, Nancy Novotny and Gloria Novotny; his brothers, William Novotny III, Ralph James Novotny, Greg Novotny and Christopher Novotny; his sisters, Patricia Burke, Cindi Novotny, Donna Keirsted and Alicia Hollenbeck; his step brother, Frankie Parslow; his  step sister, Susan Parslow; his aunt,  Anci Dwyer; his three special friends; Scott Lundgren, Scott Seeley and Joe Linenhan; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  

Friends may call on Friday, November 9, 2018 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.

Prayers will be offered following the calling hours on Friday.

The family suggests that memorial donations be made to the charity of one’s choice.
