Arthur “Art” A. Hart

KINGSBURY – Arthur “Art” A. Hart, 75, of Kingsbury, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, August 13, 2019.

Born on November 9, 1943 in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late Edward and Lucy (Morehouse) Hart.

On September 28, 1968, he married Sandie L. Hart at St. Paul’s Church in Hudson Falls.  She passed away on June 29, 2016, after 48 years of marriage.

For many years, Art was employed at Bigelow’s Fuel Oil in Fort Edward.

He enjoyed camping, playing pool and darts and watching the NY Yankees Art was an avid NASCAR fan who especially loved to follow the Earnhardt’s.    Most important in Art’s life was his family.  He loved spending every moment he could with them.

Besides his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his son, Artie Hart, Jr., his brother, Albert Hart, his sister, Evelyn Hart and his son in law, Kenny VanNess.

Survivors include his five children, Shawn Hart of Kingsbury, Tina VanNess, also of Kingsbury, Jeff Hart of Gansevoort, Mindy Suprenant and her husband, Mark of Fort Edward and Megan Catellier  and her husband, Art of Fort Edward; his grandchildren, Patrick VanNess and his wife, Terra, Stephanie Anselmo and her husband, Travis, Crystal VanNess, Jordan Suprenant, Taylor Suprenant, Lacey Catellier and Aiden Catellier; three great grandchildren, Dominick VanNess, Darl VanNess and Aurora Anselmo; his brother, Edward Hart and his wife, Anna of Kingsbury; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and his close friend, Albert Jenkins of Fort Ann.

Friends may call on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 from 10 to 12 Noon at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.

A graveside service will follow at St. Paul’s Cemetery in the town of Kingsbury.

The family suggests that memorials in Art’s name may be made to C.R. Wood Cancer Center, Glens Falls Hospital, 100 Park Street, Glens Falls, NY  12801.

Joan C. Hart

Hart, JoanHUDSON FALLS- Joan C. Hart, 83, of Hudson Falls, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 6, 2018, at Indian River Nursing Home in Granville, NY.

Born on February 15, 1934 in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Virgie (Bruso) Cruden.

Joan graduated from Hudson Falls High School class of 1951.

On January 31, 1958, she married the late Henry Hart, at her home in Hudson Falls.

Joan was first employed at Neyland Inc. in Mt. Vernon. She then worked with Dr. Greenburg in Hudson Falls for several years before joining George Gore Accounting, where she eventually retired.

Joan looked forward to baking Christmas cookies every year with her family.  Her greatest affection was for her loyal dog, Lady, who she loved unconditionally.

Survivors include her three siblings, Jean Reger of Queensbury, Jacquelynn (Carleton) Dunn of South Carolina, Sharon (William) McCormick of Hudson Falls; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Family and friends may call on Monday, February 12, from 2-4 p.m. at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street, Hudson Falls, NY 12839.

Funeral services will follow on Monday, starting at 4 p.m.at Carleton Funeral Home Inc.

We will meet for a graveside service on Tuesday, February 13, at 11 a.m. at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, where Joan will be buried next to her husband, Henry J. Hart.

The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Joan’s name, at the charity of one’s choice.

Magdalena M. Hart

hart-magdalenaHUDSON FALLS – Magdalena Hart, age 55, of Willow Street, passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at her home with her loving husband, daughter, son in law and her granddaughter Brittanie beside her. 

Born August 15, 1961, in Frankfurt, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Frieda (Wolfe) Schwarz. 

She studied hairstyling in Germany before she moved to America in 1981. 

Magdalena was a homemaker and a loving grandmother. 

She enjoyed weaving, garage sales, puzzles, playing Uno and rummy, and taking long drives. She loved watching fireworks with her Husband. Decorating for the holidays was important to Magdalena. 

She was predeceased by her niece, Nichole Holzlhammer. 

Survivors include her husband, Louis Hart of Hudson Falls; her two daughters, Tina Chapman and her husband, Scott of Odessa, TX, and Jessica Girard and her husband, John of Hudson Falls; her son Bobby Walker and his wife, Hillary, who is serving with the U.S. Army; her step-children, Louis Hart, Jr. of Hudson Falls, Gabbrielle Snyder of Tupper Lake, Ryan Hart of Saranac Lake, Paige Hart of Saranac Lake, and David Hart of Saranac Lake; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her two brothers, Heinz Schwarz of Germany, and Wilhelm Schwarz of Germany; her sister Maria Holzlhammer of Germanys; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

Arrangements are under the direction of the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main St., Hudson Falls.

Albert Elmer Hart

Hart, AlbertHUDSON FALLS – Albert Elmer Hart, 69, of Hudson Falls, went into the arms of the Lord on Monday, August 8, 2016.

Born on July 11, 1947, in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late Edward and Lucy (Morehouse) Hart, Sr.

Albert attended Hartford Central School District and Hudson Falls High School. He was married to Lauren Diffee. For over 25 years Albert was employed at the Roadway Express in Albany as a truck driver. He was also a part of the Teamsters #294 in Albany. In his younger years he attended St. Paul’s Church. He was especially fond of the outdoors and enjoyed his camp in North Hudson, hunting, and fishing. He liked NASCAR and watching basketball. Above all, Albert loved spending time with his grandkids in North Hudson.

In addition to his parents, Albert is predeceased by his daughter, Debbie Rossi; and his sister, Evelyn Hart.

He is survived by his wife, Lauren Hart of Hudson Falls; his two children: Albert E. Hart, Jr. and his companion Jamie Blair of Hudson Falls, and Brian Hart and his companion, Teresa Jones of Hudson Falls; his grandchildren: Anthony Rossi, Jr., Mark Hart, Hailey Hart, Hope Hart, Charlie Hart, Brock, Cameron, and Lasandra Stansfield; the mother of Hope, Hailey, and Mark: Rose O’Donnell; his great-grandchild Oliver Jon Rossi; his Brothers: Edward Hart, Jr. and his wife, Anna of Hudson Falls, and Arthur Hart of Hudson Falls; his son in law Anthony Rossi; many sisters in law and brothers in law; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; many friends at the North Hudson campground; and his special brother in law, Darl Diffee.

Friends may call on Thursday from 6 to 8 PM at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls. A graveside service will be held at 1 PM on Friday in Union Cemetery.

Donations in Albert’s name can be made out to the C.R.Wood Cancer Center at 100 Park Street, Glens Falls, NY 12801.

The family would thank the staff at the Glens Falls Hospital Tower 2 for the outstanding care, it was very much appreciated.
