Genessa Marie

Coon, GHUDSON FALLS- Genessa Marie, 23 of Hudson Falls, passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2018.

Born on March 20, 1994, in Glens Falls, NY, she was the daughter of Amanda and Daniel Tubbs.

Genessa was a fun, bubbly person and she loved to make people laugh and to have a good time. She was very artistic, and her art took many forms. She was very fond of writing poetry based on her life experiences, music and dancing. She enjoyed watching football, especially when her favorite team, the New York Giants, were playing. Her greatest love however, were her two children Nevaeh and Deondrae. Spending time with them was her life’s greatest pleasure.

She was predeceased by her grandfather, James Ingalls Sr. and her grandmother, Beverly Dickson.

Genessa is survived by her two children, Nevaeh and Deondrae; her mother and father, Amanda and Daniel Tubbs of Corinth; her brothers and sisters, Sebastian, Ryan Breault and Travis Coon ; her stepbrothers and stepsisters, Hunter Tubbs, Kendra Tubbs and Emily Tubbs; her grandmother, Donna Ingalls of Las Vegas; her aunt and uncle, James and April Ingalls of Las Vegas ; her aunt and uncle, Tammy and Ken McDermott of Alabama; her fiancé, Tory Lapan of Hudson Falls; her aunt and uncle Sue and Jeff Cullen of Moreau; her aunt and uncle Patricia and Albert Allen of Queensbury; her uncle and aunt, Gerald and Sue Dickson of Fort Ann; and many other loving and devoted family members.

Calling hours for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2018, from 4-6 p.m. at Carleton Funeral Home Inc., at 68 Main Street, Hudson Falls.

A graveside service will be held in the spring at St. Mary’s Cemetery in the town of Fort Edward, NY.

John J. Coon

coonGLENS FALLS – John J. Coon, age 73, of Glens Falls, passed away on Sunday October 30, 2016, at the Albany Stratton VA Medical Center.

Born on May 24, 1943, in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late John and Dorothy (Osborn) Coon.

John was a graduate of Glens Falls High School.

He served in the US Navy from 1961 – 1966.

John was an avid New York Yankee’s Fan. He loved spending time with his grandsons. John was fun loving and always going for a laugh.  He will be remembered for being a consummate prankster.

In addition to his parents, John was predeceased by his wife Joan Coon.

He is survived by his four children, Cindy Hemphil, Joe Coon, Bill Coon (Theresa Passino), and Leslie Coon; his nine grandchildren; his siblings, Carolyn Ernst and her husband, Bob, Lorraine Conklin, Pat Center, and Henriette Bailey; his former wife and friend, Rosemary Coon; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday November 3, at 9:30 a.m., at St. Mary’s Church on Warren Street in Glens Falls.

The Rite of Committal with full military honors will follow on Thursday, at 12 noon at the Gerald B. H. Solomon-Saratoga National Cemetery, Duell Road, Stillwater.
