Robert C. “Bob” Havens

havens robertKINGSBURY – Robert C. “Bob” Havens, 54,  of Kingsbury, passed away, surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer, on Sunday, September 13, 2015 at the Glens Falls Hospital.

Born September 15, 1960, in Glens Falls, he was the son of Raymond L. Havens and the late Jean M. (Mullen) Havens.

Bob was a graduate of Hudson Falls High School and on July 28, 1979, he married Nancy Bankowski in Hudson Falls.  Together they have shared 36 wonderful years.

He was a carpenter by trade for many years.

Bob loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing in the Adirondacks.  He  was a wonderful cook who loved to feed his family.  Bob made friends so easily and had too many to number.  He was a jovial man and also was a private person.  Bob loved a cold Heineken and his OTB account.

In addition to his mother, he was predeceased by his sister, Heidi Havens.

Bob is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Havens of Kingsbury; his two children, Sarah Raymond and her husband, Daniel of Selkirk and Joshuah Havens and his wife, Crystal of Glens Falls; his three grandchildren, Mallory and Masey Raymond and Travis Havens; his brother and sisters, Raeann Willis and her husband, Rick of Hartford, Mearl Havens of Hudson Falls, Donmarie Pasco and her husband, Raymond of Fort Edward; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many aunts and uncles.

In celebration of Bob’s life, there will be a biker/vehicle benefit on September 26, 2015, starting at 11 am, at the Hudson Falls American Legion Post 574, on Pearl Street and end at Saluto’s, with a pig roast.  Vehicle registration starts at 9:30 am at the legion on Sept. 26.

    It has been way to long, I’m so sorry to here of the passing of a very dear old friend. our lives lead us in different directions and separated us states apart. The Memories Bob and i have growing up and the adventures we went on will always hold a special place in my heart,I only learned of this last thursday That BOB was in a bad way and I wanted to come out and say good bye to an old friend, Again I’M SO SORRY FOR ALL YOUR FAMILY IS GOING THROUGH RIGHT NOW, My thoughts and prayers are with you and the whole Havens Faimly , god bless you all,

    I remember when I moved from Hudson Falls to Wisconsin, Bob and I would talk on the phone for hours. He was always such an enthusiastic fun loving guy! He was truly one of my best friends and I am so sad to hear of his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with the Havens family!
