Roger J. Murray, Sr

MurrayHUDSON FALLS – Roger J. Murray, Sr., 72, of Lower Warren Street, passed away, unexpectedly on Friday, September 11, 2015, at the Glens Falls Hospital.

Born on February 11, 1942, in New York City, he was the son of the late Andrew and Gertrude (Smith) Murray.

In 1964, he married Barbara Shepard, together they had five children.

Roger was a self-employed painter in the Glens Falls area.  He loved to paint and did a wonderful job for all his clients.

Roger also enjoyed fishing in the Hudson River, collecting antiques and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by several brothers and his companion, Mary Euber.

Roger is survived by his children, Roger Murray, Jr. and his wife, Mecleta of Warrensburg, Phillip Gill and his wife, Lynn of Fort Edward, Albert Kanaley of Hudson Falls, Ronald Murray of Hudson Falls, Tammy Lynn Murray of Glens Falls and Loretta Lynn Murray of Ohio; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; his brother, Michael Murray of Glens Falls; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial services will be conducted 1 p.m. on Thursday, at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.
