Patricia J. Slavin

GLENS FALLS – Patricia J. Slavin, 89, formerly of Dix Avenue, passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2013, at the Pines in Glens Falls

Born on January 29, 1925 in Fort Edward, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Edna (Palmer) Slavin.

Pat was a 1943 graduate of Hudson Falls High School, then furthered her education at Adirondack Community College.

She was employed at Glens Falls Credit Union, Beneficial Finance and then Glens Falls National Bank for nearly 30 years.

During her life Pat had lived in Fort Edward and Hudson Falls and then Glens Falls since about 1950.

She was a member of Christ Church of the United Methodist in Glens Falls, the Glens Falls Operetta Club and she was active in the Capital District Multiple Sclerosis in Albany.  Pat was also a member of the Tigers and White Sox Booster Clubs.

Survivors include two sisters, Claire Brennan of Argyle and Muriel Londrigan of Glens Falls; several nieces and nephews, Betsy Sidusky and her husband, John of Argyle, Vicki Anderson and her husband, Chris of  Queensbury, Mark Londrigan of Glens Falls, Gary Londrigan and his wife, Carol and Keith Londrigan, all of Queensbury; and six great nephews.

Friends may call on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Derik Hansen, co-pastor of Christ Church of the United Methodist, officiating.

Burial will be in the Union Cemetery in the town of Fort Edward.

Her family suggests memorials take the form of contributions to the Capital District Multiple Sclerosis Society, P.O. Box 5877, Albany, NY 12205 or the Christ Church of the United Methodist, 54 Bay Street, Glens Falls, New York 12801.

    Condolences to the family of Patricia J. Slavin. Please be assured that one day we will see our loved ones again happy and healthy. Jesus promised at John 5:28 & 29 that “all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.” I pray this promise along with loving memories fill your heart with comfort and peace.
