Lena B. Wells

HUDSON FALLS – Lena B. Wells, 91, of Hudson Falls, went into the arms of the Lord on Friday, March 1, 2024, at Washington Center in Argyle.

Born on June 2, 1932, in New Brunswick, Canada. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (Levesque) LaPlante. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s/St. Paul’s Church.

Lena was known for being a nurturer, who loved babies and was the best cook ever. Her family and friends looked forward to tasting her meals. She also enjoyed Bingo, going to the Casino, and watching the Cowboys play. The center of her life was her family, her church, and God.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by several of her brothers and sisters in Canada and grandson, Todd Allison.

She is survived by her 10 children; Norman Ouellete, Steven Ouelette, Michael Ouellette, Arthur (Wendy) Wells, Michelle Allison, Gary (Jennifer) Wells, Leonard Wells, William Wells, Beatrice (Michael) Greenough, and Karen (Frank) Wells; 19 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; her sister, Yvette Nadeau; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Calling hours will be on Monday, March 11, 2024, from 4pm to 8 pm at Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.

A funeral service will take place on Monday, March 11, 2024, at 8pm immediately following calling hours with Pastor Tracey Mauran officiating.

The Rite of Committal will take place in the Spring at Union Cemetery in the Town of Fort Edward.

Memorial donations may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Disease Association, 1003 Loudon Rd, Cohoes, NY 12047.

    With sincere condolences to the Wells families. So many memories of Lena and Art. All the countryside picnics on the side of the roads. You made the best pork and beans soup. Went great with Villa bread. Been just about everywhere your family lived . May you rest in peace 🙏 ❤️
