Yolanda M. (Trapasso) Pratt

prattHUDSON FALLS – Yolanda M. (Trapasso) Pratt, 84, of Hudson Falls, passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at the Glens Falls Hospital, following a short illness.

Born on May 21, 1929, in Port Henry, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Cecelia (VanDerhoof) Trapasso.

Yolanda Graduated from Port Henry High School. After World War II, she met Robert Pratt. They were married on January 31, 1948, at St. Patrick’s Church in Port Henry and were married for 63 years until Bob’s death in 2011

Before moving to Florida, She worked at Continental Insurance Company in Glens Falls. In 1972 Robert and Yolanda moved to Florida, where they lived for the next 25 years.

In 1997 they returned to the Hudson Falls area to be closer to family.

She enjoyed playing bridge with friends and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family will miss Nana’s spaghetti and meatballs.

In addition to her parents and husband, Yolanda is predeceased by her infant daughter, Sandra Lee Pratt, her brother Thomas Trapasso, Jr. and her sister Alice Pratt.
Yolanda is survived by her son, Glen Pratt and his wife, Lori of Hudson Falls; daughter, Donna Pratt Lettre and her husband, Jerry of New Ipswich N.H.; grandchildren, Kim (Dan) Hartford, Christina (Andrew) Morrill, Scott (Lindsay) Lettre and Kyle Pratt and companion, Hayley Murphy; great grandchildren, Devin, Dustin, Davis Hartford, Logan Morrill and Kali Pratt. Yolanda was also awaiting the arrival of her sixth great-grandchild.
Yolanda is also survived by her sisters, Genevieve Baird, Carol French and Dottie Larrow and her brother, Louis Trapasso; along with many nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours.
Burial will be 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at the Gerald B. H. Solomon, Saratoga National Veteran’s Cemetery on Duel Rd. in the town of Stillwater.

    My sincerest sympathy on the loss of my Aunt Yolanda. I am glad I had a chance to spend some time with her last year before my move to California. She was a wonderful, kind person. She reminded me so much of my father, Louis. She will remain in my fond memories. RIP Aunt Lon!
