Mercurio Obituary

HUDSON FALLS – James “Jim” Mercurio, Jr., 34, of Fairview Lane, passed away as a result of a motorcycle accident on Friday, July 5, 2013.

Born on December 24, 1978, in Kingsbury, he was the son of James A. and Sherry L. (Cooper) Mercurio, Sr.

Jim was a 1997 graduate of Hudson Falls High School and then began his work career.  He found his love in cooking.  Jim made beautiful cakes, created recipes and was a “Kitchen Chemist”.  He won the hearts of many through his food.  Jim worked at Ginny Raes and Suttons as a breakfast cook.  He also was the resident breakfast cook for all the family holiday meals, making each one special for everyone.

Jim loved horsing around with his favorite niece, Mikayla and his favorite cousins, Anthony and Keagan, on the trampoline.  While growing up, he loved going to wrestling with his grandmother and getting in the rink with George the Animal Steele and meeting all the wrestlers.

Jim enjoyed playing World War Craft video games with his cousins and online with his friends.  He was always there for anyone and everyone who needed help.  Being an outspoken person, Jim made friends wherever he went.

He also loved listening to music from the mosh pit, hearing his favorites,  Slipnot, Korn, Hatebreed and Prodigy.  Jim was an avid sports fan.  His favorites were the NY Giants “all the way”, the Syracuse Orangemen and the Chicago Bulls.

Jim called the artwork on his body, a canvas.  He was proud to show off his art, done by the one artist he respected and did great work.  Most of all he loved spending time with his best friend and sister and seeing who could do what first and riding motorcycles with his father.

He lived life to the fullest and will be greatly missed by his loving family and by those that he touched.

Jim was predeceased by his grandparents, Raymond and Elizabeth  Cooper.
