Cheryl L. Drew

WHITEHALL – Cheryl L. Drew, 59, of Whitehall, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 26, 2018, at Slate Valley Nursing and Rehab Center in Granville.

Born on April 24, 1959 in Green Bay, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of Wanda R. (LaFond) Hungerford and Clarence Woodard.

Cheryl graduated from Queensbury High School.

She was a talented painter and loved golfing, camping and gardening.  Cheryl was an all-around outdoor person and was thought of as tough as nails.

Family was the center of her life.  Cheryl treasured spending time with them and loved making plans for family gatherings.  It was a going conclusion that Thanksgiving was always at her home.

She was predeceased by her sister, Deborah Woodard.

Survivors include her eight children, Frank Howard, John Woodard, Billie-Jean Galusha, Andrew Howard, Michael Howard, Daniel Howard, Owen Drew and Josh Drew; numerous grandchildren; her siblings, William Woodard, Edsole Woodard and Rodney Woodard; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call on Thursday, January 3, 2019, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.

The family suggests that memorial donations in Cheryl’s memory be made to Owen Drew, 24 Lawrence Street, Apt A., Glens Falls, New York 12801.

Darlene A. Drew

Drew, DarleneGANSEVOORT – Darlene A. Drew, 59, of Gansevoort, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 6, 2017, at the Glens Falls Hospital.

Born on August 18, 1958, in Saratoga Springs, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Lillian (Robinson) Defoe. On April 6, 1996, she married Joseph Drew at Fort Hardy in Schuylerville.

Darlene enjoyed baking and spending time with her children, grandchildren and family

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by a daughter, April Diaz-Campbell, a grandson Brett Diaz, a brother Robert DeFoe and a sister, Debbie Smith.

Darlene is survived by her husband of 21 years, Joseph Drew of Gansevoort, her children, Alexandria Diaz and her fiancé, Matthew Stockwell of Queensbury, Antonio Diaz and his wife Tanya of Gansevoort. Christina Creech and her husband, Siatar of Gansevoort, Angelia Diaz and her husband, Jay of New York City, Stephanie DeFoe and Mike Splunge  of Hudson Falls and Michelle DeFoe of New York City; A granddaughter, Emily Humiston; several other grandchildren; a brother, Dennis DeFoe of Florida; a sister June DeFoe of Arizona; a brother Michael DeFoe of South Glens Falls; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
