Ronald Douglas Ovitt

HUDSON FALLS – Ronald “Ron” Douglas Ovitt, 67, of Hudson Falls, died on Friday, March 18, 2022, after a short illness.

Born on August 7, 1954, in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late Dorothy and Warren Ovitt.

Ron attended South Glens Falls High School.  Following high school, he put his cooking talents to work.   Ron was an excellent cook who used his expertise at Massie’s restaurant for several years.  On his off time, Ron enjoyed spending time with his friends, fishing in area streams and hoping for a win on his scratch off tickets.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, Stanley Walsh, Shirley Harris, Pete Walsh and David Ovitt.

Survivors include his siblings, Mickey Hopkins, Milford Ovitt, Mary Jacox and Joan Mumblo; several nieces, nephews and many friends, whom he thought of as family.

Services will be private.

The family suggests that memorial donations be made to the charity of one’s choice.

    My favorite Uncle. Although he was my Uncle he was thought as a big brother.You’re at peace now. But are still missed by EVERYONE! Till we meet again!
