Peter A. Lozowsky, Sr.

HUDSON FALLS – Peter A. Lozowsky, Sr.,  93, of Pine St. in Hudson Falls, passed away peacefully on Monday afternoon, January 29, 2024 at home.

Peter was born on July 15, 1930 in Hempstead, NY, to the late Peter and Adela (Lisowic) Lozowsky.

A United States Marine Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict, He was also a member of the Local 138 Operating Engineers in Long Island and owned and operated Protective Construction Co., where he specialized in home restorations for many years. While living on Long Island, he was a member of the Roosevelt Fire Department Rescue Squad.  He moved to the Hudson Falls area in 1992.

Peter also belonged to the SARASPA Rod and Gun Club in Saratoga Springs. He was a master flower gardener, a longtime big game hunter, a world traveler visiting Russia, France, England, China, Egypt, Canada and traveled through the Panama Canal and he also loved to ride the bike trails of New York State.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Victor Lozowsky, his sisters, Helen Reise, Vera Olsen, Amelia Kosby, Grace Nunes, and Stella Seaman; and his brother, Paul Lozowsky.

Survivors include, son, Peter Lozowsky, Jr. of Babylon, NY; his daughter, Cathy Mayes of New Jersey; three grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Peter will be laid to rest privately at Pine View Cemetery in the Town of Queensbury.
