Peggy L. Mabb

QUEENSBURY – Peggy L. Mabb, 68, of Queensbury, passed away on Monday, July 15, 2013, at the Glens Falls Hospital, after a long illness.

Born on February 15, 1945, in Tichonderoga, she was the daughter of the late Joel and Viola  (Norton) Tredway.

In October of 1977, she married Donald Mabb in Wells, Vermont.

For many years she owned and operated the Hid-Away Bar in Glens Falls and worked for many of the area bars.  She also operated the Travel Inn in Hudson Falls. Peggy also worked as a nurse’s aide at Eden Park and Hallmark Nursing Homes..

She loved to play pool and watch NASCAR.  She enjoyed crafting, including quilting, loved to shop and loved all animals in general but was particularly fond of her dogs.

Peggy is survived by her husband of 35 years, Donald Mabb of Queensbury; her children, Roy Dubay and his wife, Dottie of Gansevoort, Deborah Glaze of Norfolk, VA, Darlene Glaze and her significant other, Kenton of Howes Pointe, NC, Dennis Mabb and his wife Wendy of Kiniport, TN, DJ Mabb of Queensbury, Deais Clark and her husband,  Paul of Cascade, Mont, Deanne Healy of Queensbury and Sam Willard of Belair, SC; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; her brother, Doug Campney of Queensbury; her sisters, Catherine Manney of Queensbury and Gloria Stevens of Hudson Falls; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday and 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main St., Hudson Falls.

Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Paul Mead, pastor of the Gospel Lighthouse Church in Hudson Falls officiating.

Burial will follow at West Glens Falls Cemetery at the corner of Media Drive and the Corinth Rd, in the town of Queensbury.

Peggy’s family would like to offer special thanks to her niece, Samantha Flexon as well as the people of the Cardiac Care Unit at Glens Falls Hospital for their wonderful care during Peggy’s illness.

The Mabb family suggests that memorial donations in Peggy’s memory be made to the American Kidney Foundation

    So sorry for your loss. I have many fond memories of Peggy with the pool league. She always brought a smile to all our faces. She was well liked by everyone. Your all in my thoughts………….
