Nikki K. Measeck

WARRENSBURG – Nikki K. Measeck, 68, is now beholding her Savior, face to face.  She is now a part of that great cloud of witnesses to cheer us on.

Born on February 2, 1951 in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late Warren and Dorothy (Shearer) Coonrad.

In 1969, Nikki graduated from Lake George High School.  On November 10, 1976, she married the love of her life, John C. Measeck.

Nikki was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.  She was everyone’s encourager in life.   Nikki was a relentless pursuer of Jesus Christ and an exhorter of others to do the same.   She was small in stature but large in character.   There was never a dull moment with her and her exuberant personality.  Five minutes spent with Nikki would lighten your mood and empower your soul. She brought light and life into everyone’s world.

Besides her parents, Nikki was predeceased by her sister, Dawn Littrell.

Survivors include her husband, John C. Measeck of Warrensburg; her two children, Ian Measeck and his wife, Sarah Gebbie-Measeck of Warrensburg and Lindsey Measeck of Voorheesville; her two grandchildren, Charlotte Measeck and Lucy Measeck; her siblings, Diane Coursey, Sandra Annon, Gayle McDonald, Sharon Persons, Jackie Dunn, Robert Connrad, Terry Coonrad-Hershkowitz and Korri Hishon; many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. She loved well and in her words:

“She Lived

She Loved

She Laughed

She Left”

(And She Did It Her Way)

The Celebration of her life will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers and donations, in honor of Nikki’s memory, please go out and perform random acts of kindness.

Arrangements are under the care of Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.

I was so sorry to hear about Nikki passing. I went to school with her and although she probably never thought of me over the years, I thought of her many times. She was so nice to me in school when I didn’t have many friends. When I quit school to join the Marines, she was one of the few you actually hugged me and wished me luck. Her loss will be so hard to bare for her family and friends…..god bless, Nikki

Oh, Nikki, I had no idea. Sweet soul, I so much enjoyed our hasty chats when we’d meet out and about. Both of us catching up on the kiddos and grands. Your family has a heavenly guardian angel now, as fierce and loving as the earthly one. Rest your soul and cherish your heavenly reward.

John and family, I feel that we were all lucky to have had Nikki in our lives, a true treasure of a friend and classmate.
Many teachers shushed us from laughing and carrying on. Even though it will be 50 years since gradution this June, her infectiously fun personality will be dearly missed. At our upcoming reunion, I was all ready to share our little phrase “I only have eyes for you” and then laugh like crazy! We were fellow garage salers, meeting yet another sister! So it is with a lump in my throat, I can only say to family, So sorry for your loss of a true angel💫
