20140729-181752-65872225.jpgHUDSON FALLS – Maie Barnes Juckett, 91, of Hudson Falls, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 27, 2014.
Born October 25, 1922, in Durham, she was the daughter of the late Lambert and Extelcia (Hassel) Barnes.
Maie was a graduate of Salem Academy in Salem, New York.
She worked at General Electric in Fort Edward, and also C.R. Bard in Queensbury.
Maie enjoyed crocheting and bowling. She loved NASCAR driver, Jeff Gordon, who won at Indianapolis on the day of her death. Most important to Maie was her family She also enjoyed cooking for both her family and friends. If someone needed something, Maie always was there for them.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her two children, Marjorie McDonough and Butch Juckett; a son in law, Glen Jones; a granddaughter, Jill Parker; and her sisters, Barbara Barnes Taylor and Catherine Barnes Goodspeed.
Survivors include her children, Cynthia Hoag and her companion, Joe White of Comstock, Gary Juckett of Hudson Falls, Judy Rezendes and her husband, John of Hudson Falls, Mary Cole of Granville, Nancy Jones of Argyle; her 18 grandchildren, Jenn (Walt) Stimpson, Kim Hoag and Lance Bergman, Kristen (Ryan) Wise, James (Ashlee) Hoag, Jeremy (Mary) Hoag, Jillian White, Damien White, Ronnie (Sara) Juckett, J.R. (Heather) Parker, Ed (Heidi) Cole, Dottie (Tom) Foryan, David (Keiko) Jamieson, Sherrill Brown, Lisa (Bill) Boyce, Debra (Al) Strobel, Terri (Dennis) Lonehner, Stephen (Michelle) McDonough, Michael McDonough; several great-grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; her siblings, Ed (Marion) Barnes, George (Nancy) Barnes, Elaine (Richard) Menapace, Ron (Barbara) Barnes; as well as several nieces and nephews. t
Family and friends may call Thursday, 6 to 8 p.m., at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street, Hudson Falls.
A funeral service will be held Friday at 11 a.m., at the funeral home.
Burial will follow the services at North Granville Cemetery in the town of Granville.
