Joseph “Joe” E. Roman, Jr.

GLENS FALLS – RomanJoseph “Joe” E. Roman, Jr., 53, of Glens Falls, passed away on November 24, 2015 at the Glens Falls Hospital.

Born on June 29, 1962 in Saratoga Springs, he was the son of the late Joseph E. Roman, Sr. and Marie (McVeigh) Roman.

Joe graduated from St. Peter’s Academy in Saratoga Springs and attended SUNY Adirondack, graduating with his Associates Degree.

He worked as a Verizon technician doing business and home installations and repairs.  He retired recently, after 32 years of service.

Joe loved playing golf, especially swinging his club at Queensbury Country Club.  He was an avid Yankee fan and enjoyed watching football games and also the Red Wings play hockey.  Every year, Joe headed to Watkins Glen to watch NASCAR.    Joe loved spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his significant other, Denise Story of Glens Falls; Denise’s son, Todd Story and his wife, Caitlin of Queensbury and their daughter, Eloise Story; his brother, Thomas J. Roman and his wife, Laurie of Watertown; his nephews, Thomas J. Roman, II of South Bend, Indiana and Michael B. Roman of Watertown; and several cousins.

Friends may call on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at St. Mary’s/St. Paul’s Church on the park in Hudson Falls, with the Rev. Thomas Babiuch, pastor, officiating.

The Rite of Committal will follow at St. Paul’s Cemetery in the town of Kingsbury.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Joe’s memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice.

    So sorry to see this about Joe.Worked with him for many years at Verizon.He was always a ailing worker.Even had a few beers at The Talk. RIP Joe.
