COSSAYUNA LAKE – Helen Frances Schult, 90, passed away on December 25, 2018, at Slate Valley Nursing & Rehab Center in Granville, with her family by her side.
Born on March 4, 1928 in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Freda (Werner) Wedekind.
In 1948, she married Wendyn S. Schult. They were married 69 years until his passing on January 3, 2016.
Helen enjoyed working for many years at the Sheritan Ramada Inn in Queensbury.
Her cats and her dogs were the love of her life.
Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her two brothers, Walter Wedekind and George Wedekind.
Survivors include her children, Roy Schult of Hartford and Gary Schult and his wife, Sandy of Whitehall; ten grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Slate Valley Nursing and Rehab for the excellent care that she received.
At Helen’s request, there will be no public calling or services.
The family suggests that memorial donations be made to Slate Valley Nursing and Rehab Center, 10421 State Route 40, Granville, NY 12832.
Arrangements are entrusted to Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.
Gary and Roy so so sorry to hear about Helen my thoughts are with u. She will be missed and I will never forget her.
Helen was a friend of my mom’s at The Pines. Such a sweet lady. Always gave me a hug and a kiss.
Thank you Helen for all that love when it was so hard to leave my mom. I will never forget you
