Giuseppe Soave

WARRENSBURG – Giuseppe Soave, 79, of Warrensburg, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 25, 2024, at Glens Falls Hospital with his loving family by his side.

Born September 20, 1944, in Berri, Italy, Giuseppe was the son of the late Rocco and Maria Soave.

Giuseppe moved to the United States in 1969 and was reunited with his family at their home in Saratoga Springs.

In 1974, while out for a night of fun and dancing, Giuseppe met Sally Caprood. They moved to their home in Warrensburg in 1994. Giuseppe and Sally spent the next several years together and eventually married in 2003.

He was an amazing woodworker. Giuseppe’s passion for woodworking and carpentry could be seen at Seeley’s in Queensbury where he was employed for many years.

Giuseppe was a huge fan of wrestling and would watch it five nights a week. In his spare time, he could be found in his workshop making tables, chairs, and other items from wood for family, friends, and previous clients. Giuseppe was a wonderful man and took great care of his family.

In addition to his parents, Giuseppe was predeceased by his brother Luigi Soave.

Giuseppe is survived by his wife, Sally Soave; children, Vicky Wager, George Hartwell, and Stacy Hartwell; his grandchildren, Ryan, Devin, and Brandon Hartwell and Sophie Wager; his great granddaughter, Evie Hartwell; his sisters Teresa Adkins, Martha Presti; his brothers Damino, Vito and Flippo Soave. Giuseppe is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Frank Leahy; three nieces, two nephews, two great nieces, and two great nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family.
