Franklyn Allen

GRANVILLE- Franklyn Allen, 70, of Granville, passed away on Saturday, December 8, 2018, at Hudson Park in Albany.

Born on April 24, 1948 in Granville, NY, he was the son of the late Dorothy King and Arthur Allen.

Frank enjoyed fishing, cards, bingo and playing with his beloved cat, Buddy.  He also loved big cars, Native American Art, western shirts, scratcher tickets and his big belt buckle.  Frank’s favorite bible verse was John 3:16.  He could always be found with a mug of coffee in his hand.

He served with voices of the heart, was a van driver for the East Side Center for several years and was a bell ringer for the Salvation Army.

He is survived by several children; his brothers, Frederick King (Debra) of Hudson Falls, Art King of Granville, Billy King and a sister, Bettie Allen; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call on Friday, December 14, 2018 from 2 to 3 p.m. at Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street, Hudson Falls, NY.

Frank has asked that memorial donations in his name be made to the C. R. Wood Cancer Center, 102 Park Street, Glens Falls, NY  12801.
