Ethel (Kellogg) Coon Harrington

QUEENSBURY – Ethel (Kellogg) Coon Harrington, 90, of Hewitt Road, passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2024, at her home.

Born on November 13, 1933, in Kingsbury, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Ada Roberts Kellogg.

On June 18, 1998, she married Sterling Harrington in Kingsbury.

Ethel was a health Aide at the former Westmount Health Care Facility in Queensbury for many years.   In her younger years she worked as a chambermaid for the Queensbury Hotel and was a private health aide for Germaine Rossie in Queensbury.

She was a member of the Kingsbury Baptist Church and along with her husband, she belonged to the Dick Ladd Square Dance Association and the Adirondack Fiddlers Association.

Ethel loved tending to her flower gardens, crocheting, traveling and square dancing.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sons, Aric Coon and George Coon, her siblings, Russell Kellogg, Edwin Kellogg, Grace Renaud and Evelyn Blair.

She is survived by her children, Terry (Jacqueline) Coon of Queensbury, Ernest Coon of Hadley and Eugene (Dawn) Coon, Jr. of Queensbury and Kimberly (David) Belangee of Tennessee; several grandchildren and great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours will be on Thursday, April 18, 2024, from 10 to noon at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.

Burial will follow the calling hours at Morningside Cemetery in the town of Hartford.

    I’m so thankful God let me be put back into your life when I did. I was able to see and meet you again. If heaven had a phone I’d call you if heaven had visiting hours I’d be there everyday. Please rest so easy as you take tour trip to heaven . We love you more than you will ever know, and miss you more than words can explain… also thank you for being my grandma. I have acquired your sas!!! 🥰😇🤧🥹
