Bernice “Bunny” Robbins

HUDSON FALLS – Bernice “Bunny” Robbins, 76, of Lower Oak Street in Hudson Falls, went into her husband’s arms on Tuesday, October 23, 2018.

Born on August 8, 1942 in Passaic New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Wilmot Packard and the late Adaline (Cooper) Packard Gleason.

Bunny graduated from Hudson Falls High School in 1960, and on September 30, 1961, she married her soulmate, Henry “Hank” Robbins at Zion Episcopal Church in Hudson Falls. Hank passed away on January 26, 2014, after 53 wonderful years of marriage.

Bunny retired from Alternative Sentencing within Washington County.

She was very active member of Zion Episcopal Church, where she was a member of the Vestry and delivered Communion to shut ins.

Bunny and Hank loved to travel.  They visited South America, Marguerita, Hawaii, Ireland, Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico and throughout the United States.  Most recently she traveled to Europe on a riverboat cruise with her daughter, Sue and her husband, John.    Bunny also enjoyed reading and tending to her flower gardens.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her daughter, Jennifer, her brother, William Packard and her nephew, Daniel Woodard.

Survivors include her daughter, Susan Hurley and her husband, John of Granville; her stepson, Austin (Selina) Hurley; her great granddaughter, Aurora; two brothers, Raymond Packard and his wife, Jean of Virginia and Hampton and Samuel Packard and his wife, Clara of Hudson Falls; her  sister, Beverly Donovan and her husband, Michael of Hudson Falls; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Sue would like to thank the wonderful staff at High Peaks Hospice, Dr. Mason and the staff at Tower 2 at the Glens Falls Hospital for their loving care and compassion.  Sue would also like to thank her colleagues and friends at Gracenote for their understanding and support.

Friends may call at Zion Episcopal Church, 232 Main Street in Hudson Falls from 10 to 12 Noon, on Saturday, November 10, 2018.

A Memorial Mass will follow at 12 Noon at Zion Episcopal Church, with Rev. Richard Lehmann, pastor, officiating.

Following the Memorial Mass, both Bunny and her husband, Hank will be interred at the Zion Episcopal Church Columbarium.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to High Peaks Hospice, 454 Glen Street, Glens Falls, NY  12801 or The American Cancer Society, 1 Penny Lane, Latham, NY  12110 or the Zion Episcopal Church, 232 Main Street, Hudson Falls, NY  12839.

Arrangements are under the care of Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street, Hudson Falls.
