  16. This morning, as I cleaned up the last of my garden, I reflected on what Bernie McCullough has meant to me.
Back when I was floundering in my early college years (going absolutely nowhere), I turned to my friend, Pat McCullough, for advice and guidance. Over the next several years he became my mentor, and helped me to do the things necessary to be accepted into Dental School, and to have a very successful career as an orthodontist.
During the many years of our friendship, I also learned from Pat (again through his dad) how to fix and care for my home and property, and also, how to set aside some money for the future.
I have told Pat, perhaps not often enough, how much this had meant to me; and also how, indirectly, I have benefitted from the knowledge and guidance of his dad (Mr. Mac).
I can say, without hesitation or any doubt, that my life has been improved, enhanced, and become something beyond my wildest dreams thanks to Bernie McCullough,
I wish to express my love and appreciation to all of Bernie’s family, and to encourage everyone to not look back with any regrets; but to look forward to the future with positive thoughts; and to keep his knowledge and wisdom in our minds and his love in our hearts.
    Charlie Buchanan
