FORT EDWARD – Barbara Grace (McKittrick) Harrington, 83, of Fort Edward, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at the Fort Hudson Nursing Center.
Born on May 14, 1940, in Cambridge, NY, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Grace (Colvin) McKittrick.
She enjoyed spending her summers at her camp at Hadlock Pond, listening to music, especially Patsy Cline, Dwight Yoakam and Jonny Cash.
Barbara will be remembered for being a loving sister, mother, and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family and her dogs.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by three children, Barbie Jean Dickinson, Kevin Lee Dickinson and Gary Martin Harrington.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Matthew Jones, Kevin “Ky Boy” Dickinson, Jr., Envy Geroux, Starrasia Harrington and Joplin Harrington; her siblings, Shirley Hunt, Dorothy Caprood, Gary McKittrick, Jerry (Helen) McKittrick and Harold (Sherry) McKittrick; and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Friends may call on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, from noon to 2 pm at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.
Graveside services will be in the spring at Union Cemetery in the town of Fort Edward.
