Anthony “Tony” Caroprese

ARGYLE – Anthony “Tony” Caroprese, 67, of Lufkin Way, passed away unexpectedly, after a sudden illness, on January 29, 2019, at the Glens Falls Hospital.

Born on March 23, 1951, in Brooklyn, he was the son of the late Gerard and Gaetana (Codispoti) Caroprese.

Tony was a 1969 graduate of Franklin K. Lane High School in Queens.

On June 11, 1971, he married his high school sweetheart, Bonnie Hopkins, in Queens.  Tony and his wife, Bonnie wanted to raise their children upstate, so they moved their family to Ballston Spa. Although, Tony and his wife, lived most of their married life in Victory Mills. 

He worked in the auto parts industry for his entire career and loved being called “T the C”, Tony the Counter Man.

Tony also enjoyed bantering about politics and was always up for a lively debate.  He enjoyed playing poker with his friends, camping on Lake Champlain with his wife and traveling the country, camping with their 5th Wheel.  Tony loved his wife, his children and his grandchildren and will forever be missed by them.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Bonnie Caroprese of Argyle; his children, Heather Welch and her husband, Thomas, Jr. of Schuylerville and Melissa Caroprese of Spain; his grandchildren, Casey Welch of Schuylerville and Lucas Welch also of Schuylerville; his brother, Gerard Caroprese and his wife, Lucille of New Jersey; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

At Tony’s request, there will be no services.
