Thomas James Tyminski

Tyminiski, TomHUDSON FALLS – Thomas James Tyminski, 65, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at his home.

Born on November 9, 1952 in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late Joseph and Ada Tyminski.

Tom attended Hudson Falls High School and retired after 37 years working as a bus mechanic at the Hudson Falls school bus garage.

He loved drag racing at the South Glens Falls drag strip and was very proud to have owned several muscle cars.  Tom spent many hours fishing with his children and also enjoyed tending to his vegetable gardens.

Tom spent his retirement in Florida, he loved the sunshine, taking his family to Disney and walking his dog around Lake Istokpoga.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his half-sister, Patricia Gage and his half-brothers, Gary Chadwick and Steven Chadwick.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Carol Tyminski of South Glens Falls; his four children, Thomas Tyminski and his wife, Pam of Hudson Falls, William Tyminski of Argyle, Carrie Priest and her husband, Justin of South Glens Falls and Janice Donovan and her husband, Andrew of Hudson Falls; his seven grandchildren, Kindra Sipowicz, Hailey Tyminski, Hunter Tyminski, Carter Donovan, Ellie-Marie Donovan, Brooke Priest and Brody Priest; one great granddaughter, Peyton Sipowicz; his brothers, Joseph Tyminski of Hudson Falls and his half-brother, Brian Chadwick of South Glens Falls; two half sisters, Betty Lou and Joanne; his best friend William Stemp of Fort Edward; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and his loving boxer, Luann.

Tom’s wish was not to have any funeral services.

The family suggests that memorial donations in Tom’s memory, be made to Ronald McDonald House, 139 South Lake Ave., Albany, NY 12208.

Thomas J. “The Rock” Tyminski

TyminskiQUEENSBURY – Thomas J. “The Rock” Tyminski, 66, of Queensbury, passed away Thursday, January 22, 2015 at the Glens Falls Hospital.

Born July 8, 1948, in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late John and Beverly (Gibson) Tyminski.

In August of 1972, Thomas married Marcia Brennan at St. Mary’s Church in Glens Falls.

Thomas worked for Finch Pruyn Paper Company for 35 years.  He worked in the wood yard and made many special friends while working there.

He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, and spending time vacationing with his family.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Marcia (Brennan) Tyminski of Queensbury; his two daughters, Kerri Breen and her husband, Edward of Queensbury, Haley Gilligan and her husband, Scott of Glens Falls; his two grandchildren, Elsie Breen and Rose Gilligan; his brother, Jack Tyminski of South Glens Falls; his sister, Joan Ramsey and her husband, Joseph of Queensbury; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call on Sunday, from 2 to 5 p.m., at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.

A funeral service will be conducted following the calling hours, at 5 p.m., at the funeral home.

Burial will take place at Glens Falls Cemetery later in the spring.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
