Peter Clum

ClumGANSEVOORT – Peter Clum, 71, of Gansevoort, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 6, 2015 with his family by his side, at Fort Hudson Health Care Facility, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.

Born November 9, 1944 in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late George and Leonora (Fitzpatrick) Clum.

Peter was a 1963 graduate of South High.

On June 12, 1966 he married Linda Beahan at St. Paul’s Church in Hudson Falls.

Peter was employed by Kamyr for 43 years.  He started his career in the print room and worked his way up to project manager in the recycled fiber division.  Peter loved his job.

He was a communicant of St. Michael’s the Archangel Church in South Glens Falls.

Peter was always a hard worker and built the home he and his family shared.  He was a skilled craftsman and woodworker.  Peter took great pride in taking care of the home, especially working in the yard.  He enjoyed bowling and golfing.  He was a member at the Kingswood Golf Club.  Along with his wife, Peter loved to travel.  Their favorite spot being Hawaii, where they celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary.  Most of all, Peter was a great father and husband, who loved spending time with his family.

Besides his parents, Peter was predeceased by his sister, Linda DuFour and Joan Rivers.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Linda Clum of Gansevoort; his children, Penny Clum of Saco, Maine, Scott Clum and his wife, Julie of Olmstead Falls, OH, Shelley Murphy and her husband, Brian of Queensbury; his grandchildren, Lauren, Jenna, Eric, Shaelyn, Deirdre and Pete; his siblings, Marion Kohls, Virginia Boisclair, Thomas Clum, David Clum and Michael Clum; as well as nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call Friday, January 8, 2016, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street, in Hudson Falls.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m., on Saturday, January 9, 2015, at St. Mary’s/St. Paul’s Church on the park in Hudson Falls, with the Reverend Thomas Babiuch, pastor, officiating.

There will be a gathering of friends and family to share memories, at a location and time to be announced, following the Mass on Saturday.

Peters family wishes to thank the staff of S wing at Fort Hudson Health Care Facility for their kindness and support shown to Peter and his family.
