Mark Taylor Schroeder

HARTFORD – Mark Taylor Schroeder, 58, passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 surrounded by family and friends at Saratoga Hospital after a short illness.

Born on August 31, 1960 in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late Gerald Arthur and Josephine (Taylor) Schroeder. He was raised on Jo-Jerry Dairy Farm.

Mark was a graduate of Hartford Central School, Class of 1978. After high school, he went on to Modern Welding School in Schenectady, earning his certification in welding.

Mark went on to start his own company, Mark Schroeder Portable Welding. He supported the local agricultural industry, sub-contracted with Harrison and Burrows Bridge Co. and fabricated numerous projects within the community.

Mark loved the outdoors and had many hobbies such as fishing, camping, tree tapping, kayaking, gardening (canning), skiing, biking, and a love for cooking. Most of all, he loved his family and spending time with friends. Mark was extremely generous and had a big heart. He was hard working, dedicated and, overall, an amazing man.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Charise Stanton.

Survivors include, the love of his life, Theresa Bean; his children, Gerald John Schroeder and his fiancé, Samantha of Hartford and Cathleen Jo Schroeder-Proulx and her husband, Josh of Fort Edward and Major Craig M. Anderson and his wife, Iricel of Newberry, UK; grandchildren, Esmee Anderson, Juliet Anderson, Arthur Stanton, Jr., Walton Stanton and Jaeda Stanton; siblings, Barbara Beecher and her husband, Lawrence of Hartford, Pamela Helinski and her husband, John of Granville and John Gerald Schroeder and his wife, Tamara of Queensbury; his dog, Max and grand-dogs Uhtred and Eowyn; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family wishes to express a special thank you to those at Saratoga Hospital Intensive Care Unit for the wonderful care and compassion that they gave to Mark and his family.

Friends may call from 12 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson falls.

Memorial donations may be made to the Hartford Volunteer Fire Company, 8118 State Route 40, Granville, NY 12832.

    Deepest sympathies to Barb Beecher and Pam Helinski, along with all of Marks family. Mark graduated the same year I graduated from from Fort Ann and I knew him through different people. Taken way too soon. I pray for your healing. God must have really needed him
