HUDSON FALLS – James P. Gates, 66, of Hudson Falls, passed away Friday morning, June 17, 2022 at his home. Born on July 2, 1955 in Glens Falls, he was a life-long area resident and son of the late Edgar and Helene (Thew) Gates.
Jim, known to some of his friends as “Gator”, was a graduate of Glens Falls High School and enjoyed cooking.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by two brothers, Butchy and Eddie Gates.
Jim is survived by his two sons, Nicholas Gates of Hudson Falls, and Benjamin Gates and his fiancé, Brichelle Stroud, of Ohio; two brothers, Ronald Gates and Myron Gates; his sister, Priscilla Tyner; 6 grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.
Memorial donations may be made in his name to the charity of one’s choice.
