Ethel V. Frawley

Frawley, EthelHUDSON FALLS – Ethel V. Frawley, 90, of River Street, went into the arms of the Lord with her loving grandson, Freddie and her great-grand daughter, Kelsie by her side, at the Glens Falls Hospital, on May 29, 2018.

Born on August 25, 1927, in Hudson Falls, she was the daughter of the late Bronislaw and Jadwiga (Urbonowicz) Sipowicz.

After high school she married Joseph Frawley. He died January 4, 2001.

Ethel Worked at J & J Lingerie, formerly in Glens Falls for 30 years.

She was a communicant of St. Mary’s/St. Paul’s Church in Hudson Falls.
Her enjoyments included sewing, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. Ethel also enjoyed going on senior trips with her friends Betty Potter and Mary Gordon.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by her brothers, Bernard, Thaddeus, Bobby, Eddie, Ray, Dickie, Lenny and Donnie, her sisters, Madaline, Theresa and Helen.

She is survived by two daughters and one son, Jean, Jane and Thomas; her grandchildren, Freddie Gibson and his wife, Gina, Joseph Gibson, Christopher Gibson and his wife, Stephanie, Lisa Frawley, Tiffany McGrath and her husband, Scott and Erica Fleet; her great grandchildren, Kelsie Gibson, Evan Gibson, Alex Gibson, Jared Gibson and Kasey Gibson; and her great-great grandchild, Sidney McGrath; one sister, Regina Curley of Hudson Falls; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends are invited to call on Thursday, June 7, 2018 from 12:30 to 2 p.m.at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.

Her funeral services will follow the calling hours on Thursday at 2 p.m.

The Rite of Committal will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery on Burgoyne Avenue in the town of Fort Edward.

Ethel’s family suggests that memorial donations in her memory be made to The Fort Hudson Health Care Center, S Wing, Alzheimer Dementia Unit, 319 Broadway, Fort Edward, New York 12828.

Freddie, Gina and Kelsie would also like to express their deepest gratitude to her home aide Mariah Caputo, who was truly a blessing, her love and kindness will never be forgotten, as well as the Fort Hudson S Wing Staff.

    To my Loving Sister in Law, Ethel. You had a beautiful smile that made everyone smile too. You were a “special ” Aunt to my children. When they made the rounds at Halloween, or May baskets in the Spring, Aunt Ethel made sure the had plenty of Homemade goodies.
    At Polish dances she looked as light as a feather on the dance floor! Last time I saw you, you kept saying God Bless after we talked. GOD
