    Sally, I am very sorry to hear about your husband. Though I only knew him from the short time of having be my father’s roommate there at Fort Hudson, I could tell that he seemed like a mild mannered, kind-hearted person. You could tell that he had some very interesting stories to tell……
    A bible verse to comfort the soul that is fitting for Dan –
    1 Peter 3: 3-4;
    Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. 4 Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.
    And that is how I will remember Dan. He had a Gentle, quiet spirit.
    Rest In Peace and God Speed Dan Griffin

    Dan was much more than an uncle. He was a calm, wise mentor who I’ve always respected. I cherish the many years I worked with Dan in the 80’s and 90’s. My career in the military and vocation in residential renovations are both directly related to his example. Thanks Dan

    It’s so hard to lose such a wonderful role model and decent human being. Also, I remember the love he had for his many dogs… some were giant fur babies! He will be missed. I am so sorry for your loss, Sally
