QUEENSBURY – C. Bruce Wetmore,82, of Queensbury lost his battle with Alzheimer’s disease on March 13, 2021, surrounded by his loving family, at the Fort Hudson Health Care Facility in Fort Edward.

Born on June 18, 1938 in Boonville, he was the son of the late Gladys and Charles Wetmore.  Following graduation from Boonville High School, he attended Simmons School of Embalming and Mortuary Science in Syracuse.  After receiving his degree in 1961, Bruce was very proud to have become a licensed New York State Funeral Director and a long-time member of the National Funeral Directors Association. 

Bruce had a distinguished career for over 40 years as a Funeral Director, beginning his dedicated life with the John S. Friedel Funeral Home in Utica, then joining the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc. in 1969, co-owning the business with Gary C. Wilson, until his retirement. He was a stellar man, a great friend to many with a keen sense of humor.   Bruce carried himself with effortless kindness, had a sharp wit and was always a warm, caring funeral director that helped many families through difficult times.  He was passionate about giving the best service to those in need.

Bruce was appointed to the Mortuary Science Advisory Committee of Hudson Valley Community College and at one time was President of the Adirondack Funeral Directors Association.

He was also passionate about community service and helping others.  Bruce was a long-standing member of The Balsam Flats Hunting & Fishing Club, The First Presbyterian Church of Hudson Falls, where he was a Trustee and on the Board of Sessions and a member of the Utica and Hudson Falls Rotary Club.  Bruce was very proud to have served for many years as a Volunteer Fireman for Hudson Falls and when he was younger at The Boonville Fire Department.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife of over 51 years, Winifred Wetmore.

Bruce  is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Lori Wetmore from Whitehall, 

his daughter, Cheryl Wetmore from The Woodlands, TX, his granddaughter, Alyssa Wetmore from Charleston, SC, his  grandson, Greg Wetmore from Syracuse, a twin brother and his wife, Robert and Mary Wetmore of Seminole, FL, sisters in law, Anita Cseledy, Barbara Cinquanta, and Karen and Jim Spindler; and several nieces and nephews.

Due to COVID, services will be private at convenience of the family.

A memorial service will be planned in the spring for extended family and friends to join in the celebration of Bruce’s life. 

Interment will be in the spring at Pine View Cemetery, in Queensbury, where he will be laid to rest next to his wife.

HEBRON – Marjorie Patricia McKittrick (Manney), long time resident of Hebron, NY passed on March 3, 2021, after a two-year battle with CNS Lymphoma and recent complications from pneumonia. She passed peacefully while surrounded by her children and grandchildren.

She was born to the late Edward and Mary Manney, April 10, 1945, in Glens Falls.

All who knew Margie would attest that being a mother and nana were by far her greatest joy and accomplishment in life. She gave tirelessly her time, energy and love to her family.

Margie was loved by many for her generous nature, her quick, sassy playful comments, her ability to make all feel welcome and accepted for exactly who they were. She was always willing to lend a helping hand, a ready smile, a warm cup of coffee, a home cooked meal, a non-judgmental ear and an embracing hug. She was quick to forgive and move forward, often reminding us that life is too short to hold a grudge. She enjoyed road trips, bingo, and playing with her grandchildren.

Margie was immensely proud of her family, and she leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories. As her health declined, she often reminded us of the importance of living life to the fullest, to dance, to laugh, to love and to find the happy in all situations. She was a strong, loyal and loving wife, mother, nana, sister, daughter, and friend.

She was predeceased by her sister and best friend, Barbara Anderson, as well as her brother, Hank Manney and two grandchildren: Connor and Gavin Furey.

Margie is survived by her husband of 46 years, Garry McKittrick; four children, Laurie Hayes (Asa) of Hebron, Arnold Bardin (Alexa Fosmer) of Hebron, Billie McCann (Michael) of Saratoga Springs and Mary McKittrick (Dan Furey) of Hudson Falls;  she is also survived by six grandchildren, Philp Hayes, Kody Bardin, Kalyn Hayes, Carter Furey, and Grayson and Myles McCann; and three great grandchildren, Philip Hayes Jr., Iralynn Hayes and Antonina Bardin; her siblings, Edward (Phyliss) Manney, Robert (Doll) Manney, William (Donna) Manney, Clara (Dick) Young, Mary (Bill) Young, Constance (Pete) Bailey, Vivian (Jeff) Lazure, Thomas Manney, David (Dody) Manney, James Manney, Joanne Manney, and Cindy (Royal) Swan; she had 80 nieces and nephews, of whom she shared a particularly special bond with, Sheryl Havens, Bonnie Anderson, Pauline Anderson, Ashley Livingston, Kevin Dickinson and John Hunt Sr.

Calling hours for friends and family will be Saturday, March 13 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at Carleton Funeral Home, Inc. in Hudson Falls.

A eulogy will be given in her honor at 3:00 p.m. for family only due to Covid-19 gathering restrictions.

A celebration of her life will be held at a date to be disclosed in a future service announcement.

QUEENSBURY – Marion G. (Mallaney) Smith, 81, of Queensbury, went to be with her husband and daughter in Heaven on Sunday, March 7, 2021.

Born on December 22, 1939, in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Myrtle (Hamblin) Mallaney.

Marion was a graduate of Queensbury High School.  After moving to Texas, she furthered her education to become a Medical Aide.  Marion practiced as a medical aide in Texas and later in Florida.  She loved her job and felt fulfilled being able to help others.  She started her career at the bottom and worked her way up, being responsible to make sure that all medications were being administered correctly to her patients.

In October of 1980, she married James C. Smith.  He passed away in 2012, after 32 wonderful years of marriage.

Marion loved bingo, playing until the week she passed away.  She also enjoyed shopping, garage sales and collecting antiques.  

Marion was a member of the Red Hat Society and a volunteer for the church thrift shop.  She loved her church, Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Melbourne, Florida, it was an important part of her life.

The center of her life was her family, she cherished her grandchildren, great grandchildren and her two great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her daughter, Tammy Wright, her grandson, Levi Walker, her son, Scott Smith, her grandson, P.J. Nolan and her two sisters, Johanna Smith and Patricia Perry.

Survivors include her children, Cynthia (David) Grinko of Fl, Robin  (Rick) Pitalo of Mississippi, Gayle (George) Missita of Hudson Falls, Dawn (Dan) Gonzalez of Mississippi, Shari (Michael) Pullen of Glens Falls, John (Angela) Wright of Cocoa, Fl and Scott ( Jamie) Renaud of Shelbyville , Indiana;  her many grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and two great-great granddaughters; her sister, Margaret (Steve) Chmura of Greenville, SC; her god-daughter, Mari Lynn (Frank) Welch of Virginia; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours will be on Thursday, March 11, 2021, from 10 to 11 a.m., at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.

Funeral services will follow the calling hour at 11 a.m. at the funeral home on Thursday, with the Rev. Nancy Goff, priest of the Zion Episcopal Church in Hudson Falls, officiating.

HUDSON FALLS – John D. “Big Tooth” Case, 82, formerly of Hudson Falls, went into the arms of the Lord on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at the Glens Falls Hospital.

Born on August 29, 1938, in Granville, he was the son of the late George and Margaret (Roberts) Case, Sr.

John was a 1959 graduate of Hartford Central School. After his graduation, he enlisted in the National Guard, where he proudly served his country for 28 years.

John worked for a paper mill in Schuylerville, retiring after 20 years. He then went to work for Monahan and Loughlin in Hudson Falls, again retiring after 20 plus years. Not letting himself stay idle after his retirements, he served as a security guard for Brinks.

John was a man with many interests.  For a time, he performed in plays for the Glens Falls Opera Club.  Something he considered a highlight of his life.

John worked hard for his family, but always took time to play.  He enjoyed spending time with his family at their camp on Hadlock Pond. He loved life and the people around him.  John will be remembered as a happy man who always had a smile on his face for everyone.  John could also be found indulging in a good cigar or pipe.  He also had a collection of duck figurines. 

John loved his wayside friends, where he was bartender.  He worked hard, lived hard and played hard.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Michael John Case,  his ex-wife, Marjorie (Brayton) McDougal, mother of his children and his siblings, Shirley Woods, Geraldine Zellers, George Case, Jr., Louise Priest and an infant sister.

He is survived by his children, Julia Denise (Case) O’Neil of Argyle, Brian Andrew Case of Granville and Stephany Euber and her husband, Jonathan, II of Argyle; his daughter in law, Linda Case; nine grandchildren, Bridget (Case) Bailey, Eric Gonyea, Heather Tucker, Alicia Dumas, Courtney O’Neil, Charlene Euber-Gregory, Victoria Euber, Jonathan Euber, Jr., Isabella Euber; many great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call on Sunday, March 7, 2021, from 11 to 1 p.m. at the Carleton Funeral Home. Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.

His funeral service will follow the calling hours at 1 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral Home, with the Rev. Sandra Spaulding, officiating.

HUDSON FALLS – Mia June Nassivera, 14, of Hudson Falls, passed away on February 26, 2021, at Albany Medical Center after a courageous battle with metastatic osteosarcoma.

She was born on March 19, 2006, at Glens Falls Hospital and was the daughter of Jeremy and Allison (Whalen) Nassivera of Hudson Falls.

Her love for her sister Gracie was unconditional.  She looked up to her serious nature, her drive and focus.  Mia brought out the fun, loving side of Gracie.  They complimented each other completely.

Mia was a 9th grade student at Hudson Falls High School. She was a member of the Aerials Gymnastics family as a talented and devoted level 6 gymnast. Mia spent many hours and nights at the gym not only perfecting her routines and skills but also mentoring other younger gymnast who all looked up to her.

Mia had a love for the ocean and sandy beaches at all-inclusive resorts. She could be found flipping into the pool with her cousin Lucas, building sandcastles, snorkeling in the ocean or at the swim up bar with her sister Gracie ordering their favorite drink. Mia was family oriented enjoying swimming at grandma’s and grandpa’s pool, Sunday dinners at Nana and Poppa’s, spending time at Aunt Britts helping with the twins, learning how to wake surf with her cousin Zach, jet skiing, building things with her dad and snuggling with her mom. She also cherished her time with her best friends.

Mia was a traditionalist. Girls weekend in New Hampshire, Christmas Cookie baking day, Easter egg hunts. She enjoyed returning bottles with her poppa and keeping all the money, Grandma’s mac & cheese, family camping throughout the summer and weekends in Colonie. Her biggest passion was candy and her personal nail salon she set up in the basement. At every treatment the first thing every nurse and doctor would comment on was her amazing nails. Even in the PICU she would be sitting up doing her nails while falling asleep. She was a rock-hound and enjoyed digging for diamonds, collecting seashells, sand and rocks on her adventures.

Mia will be remembered most by her ability to light up a room with her smile, infectious laugh and Mia-isms. She had the ability to change a bad day into a good day with just that smile. As one of her coaches stated ” Mia has and will continue to be an inspiration for her kindness, sweetness, strength and courage”.

Besides her parents Mia is survived by her big sister, Gracie; her maternal grandparents, Alan & Susan Whalen; her paternal grandparents, Kevin and Joan Nassivera; her aunts and uncles, Tony Whalen, Jeremy and Jennifer Whalen, Brittany Nassivera & Charlie Ball; her cousins, Zachary Whalen, Lucas Nassivera, Jacob and Remi Ball; her great grandparents, Beverly Ellithorpe and Walter & Dot Case. Her best friends; Liz Donnelly, Bee (Annabelle) Lindsay, Gracelynn Remon, Nattie Bug Glinski; her pets, Chewy, Wilma and Kiwi; along with numerous extended aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Mia and her parents were fortunate through this horrific journey to have compassionate doctors and caregivers at Albany Medical Center who went above and beyond. All the staff at the Melodies Center, PICU and D7. A special thank you to Marissa, Kacey, Ashley, Casey, Stef, Katielynn, Colleen, Kaitlyn, Dr. Banagan and Dr. Pearce

Due to Mia’s wishes, there will be no calling hours and services will be private.  A memorial service will be livestreamed, Friday, at 3 p.m., via Gospel Lighthouse and Make Mia Smile facebook pages.

During these unprecedented times, Mia was the light in the darkness. Mia’s family wishes to send their heartfelt and sincere thank you to the family, friends and the community for their generous and all-encompassing support, well wishes, and continuous prayers.

HUDSON FALLS  – David L. Reynolds, born May, 1933, passed away after a brief illness in Glens Falls Hospital on February 24, 2021 at the age of 87 years old.

Dave served his country in the United States Army for two years, 1953 to 1955 with an honorable discharge. He had fond memories of his military days and often shared stories with his kids.

Dave had a long and successful career at the Sandy Hill Corporation, where he worked for 44 ½ years as a Workflow Coordinator in the machine shop. His good attitude and work ethic helped him thrive for well over four decades with the same company. He enjoyed his work and the people he worked with. 

Dave was dedicated to his family his entire life, always supportive, encouraging, and willing to help. You could always count on his big smile, good nature and positive energy. He traveled the country competing in Professional Rodeos and always wanted it to be a family experience, so the entire family would go. A Truck, camper, trailer, horses, dogs, kids, everyone went on these excursions making incredible memories over the years. Some of the rodeos included Madison Square Garden, Kissimmee FL, Jackson MS, Baton Rouge LA, Houston TX, Fort Worth TX, St. Tite, Quebec, Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo and the All American Quarter Horse Congress in Columbus, OH, as well as the local rodeos in the northeast.

Dave was a cowboy at heart, a gold card lifetime member of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association and the American Professional Cowboys Association. He was also the year end Champion Tie down Roper many times at both the Painted Pony Rodeo and the 1000 Acres Ranch back in the 1960s and the 1970s. He competed in professional rodeo for over 50 years. Dave took a lot of pride in his horses over the years and had many exceptional rope horses including his latest horse Cricket, who is still in the family barn and was his pride and joy.

Dave had many special friends that he stayed in touch with by phone. Jack McCue, Joe Haydock, the late Howard Council and Billy Don Hogg, who are both world class saddle makers, and too many more to list. He loved to chat on the phone weekly about rodeo, saddles and horses. He had a real appreciation for the quality and workmanship of their saddles and he ordered one of each to use while he competed and treasured both saddles.

In the end, Dave did everything he wanted to do, did it his way and had no regrets. He often said if he could do it all over again, he would not change a thing, he considered himself a lucky man to live the life he lived. He was often referred to as a mentor and a role model to so many. He was widely regarded as an all-around good guy.

Dave is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Jeannine A. Reynolds (Collins) as well as his five children; Colleen Ellsworth, Theresa Edwards (Vern), Troy Reynolds (Shari), Jeff Reynolds (Kristi), Ben Reynolds (Becky).

Dave enjoyed his grandchildren immensely. They all have fond memories of their grandfather from over the years as they were all close with him. The holidays were always a family gathering at Grandma and Grandpa’s for a nice meal and time together, stories, fun and laughter.  

His grandchildren include, Olin Ellsworth, Lee Ellsworth (Lindsey), Jamie Ellsworth (Alex), Taylor Lewis (Josh), Travis Reynolds, Jake Edwards (Margaret), Shane Reynolds (Taylor). Great Grandchildren, Laramie, Joshua and Brycen.

Due to Covid-19, there will be a private service for the family.  A graveside service and burial open to family and friends will be held at Union Cemetery in the town of Fort Edward, in the spring, on a date to be announced.

KNOXVILLE, TN – Jason Matthew Cook, 46, of Knoxville, Tenn., passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 18, 2021, from an infection of his heart stemming from an injury he sustained and courageously battled for several years.

Jason graduated from Cohoes High School and went on to become a member of the Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Local 2 in Albany for 25 years. He most recently worked for B.B.L. until his retirement. He was an exceptionally talented mason who loved to work with his hands.

He was a motorcycle enthusiast who lived life to the fullest with a kindness found in few. Jason left a mark on this world not to be forgotten.

Jason was the beloved son of Kenneth and Donna Cook of Knoxville, TN. He is survived by his adored children, Anna Nicole Cook of Raleigh, NC, Spc. Justin Michael (Sierra) Cook of Joint Base Lewis McChord, WA and Alana Marie Cook of Ballston Spa; his new granddaughter, Paisley Ann Cook; sister, Marleise Ann Cook of Knoxville, TN; niece, Rileigh Rose Schumacher; grandmother, Theresa Henderson of Knoxille, TN; his faithful dog, Violet and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. To be specially noted are two very important people in Jason’s life, the mothers to his children, his former wife, Maria Scorza Cook and Laura Azavedo.

He was predeceased by paternal grandparents, Kenneth and Mary Cook; maternal grandfather, Gordon Hayes Jr.; step-grandfather, Robert Henderson; and brother-in-law, Joseph Randolph Scorza.

Friends may call on Thursday, June 3, 2021 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 A.M. at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in the town of Fort Edward.

QUEENSBURY – Elizabeth “Betsy” Andrus, 65, formerly of Queensbury, passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2021 at Fort Hudson Health Care Facility in Fort Edward.

Born July 15, 1955 in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of Patricia (Langworthy) Andrus and the late Forrest Andrus.

Betsy was a 1974 graduate of Queensbury High School.  Soon after graduation, she started working as a home health aide for Adirondack Home Health Aides in Glens Falls.  Betsy was well liked in her profession; her kind and helpful demeanor had a way of making her patients feel comfortable.  Because of this, many patients would request her services.  

In her younger years, Betsy took a class on cake decorating at J.C. Penney’s.  She then cultivated her lifelong hobby of cake decorating, baking any intricate cake requested by her friends and family.  Various times, her cakes were gifted to her friends when she made their wedding cakes.  Betsy could duplicate any picture of a cake brought to her, making countless character cakes for the children in her life.   She took great pride in her flower gardens and making arts and crafts.  Betsy especially enjoyed crocheting and made many beautiful afghans she gave to her family or anyone in need of a warm blanket.   She loved to bake and was well known for her platters of Christmas cookies, that she gave to several of her family, friends and co-workers.

Besides her father, Betsy was predeceased by her grandparents, Edwin and Betty Langworthy, Gordon and Lillian Andrus; her uncles, Adelbert Langworthy, James Langworthy, James Andrus, Harold Andrus; her aunt, Elizabeth (John) LaPell and Donna Shorey; and her sister in law, Barbara Andrus.

Survivors include her mother, Patricia Andrus of Queensbury; her brother, John Andrus and his wife, Maryann of Glens Falls; her niece, Lillian Hughes of Comstock; her nephew, John Andrus, Jr., of Fort Ann; several great nieces and great nephews; two aunts, Carol Cifone and her husband, John of Lake George and Joan Fennel of South Glens Falls, as well as many cousins.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, there will be no calling hours.

A graveside service will be held in the spring, at Pine View Cemetery in the town of Queensbury.

HUDSON FALLS — James (Jim) Brunelle Sr., 83, passed away Friday, February 12, in Albany after a brief illness.

He was born Aug. 31, 1937 in Glens Falls to Harriet and Clifford Brunelle.

Jim and his loving wife Betty were married for over 62 years before her sudden passing March 24, 2020. She was the love of his life.

At a young age Jim worked as an usher at The Strand Theater in Hudson Falls, later worked and retired after 43 years of service from Decora in Fort Edward, and in retirement worked at Magic Forest in Lake George and at Kingswood Golf Course in Kingsbury. His life-long dedication was to local fire companies. For 27 years he was a member of the Hudson Falls Fire Company as a lieutenant, captain, and assistant chief. He served the Kingsbury Volunteer Hose Company as a fire police captain for over 22 years. Jim and Betty’s dedication to local fire service continues today through their family.

Jim enjoyed watching game shows and old westerns, country music, square dancing, firemen’s parades, mardi gras, and banquets, collecting fire station patches from different states, clambakes, family cookouts and holiday dinners, bowling, camping, and spending time with his family.

Besides his wife Betty, he was predeceased by his parents, an infant sister Rose Irene, and a sister Jeanette Rivers.

Survivors include four daughters, Kathy Palmer (late Henry), Sue Studler (Andy), Pamela Brayton (Dan), Mary Chase (Nelson), all of Hudson Falls; and two sons, James Brunelle Jr. (Michelle) of Hudson Falls and Thomas Brunelle (Jenn) of Granville; his brother, Oliver (Ollie) Brunelle of South Glens Falls; sisters, Nancy Brunelle Black of Florida, Linda Havens of North Carolina, and Bette Lou Thomas of Hudson Falls; 15 grandchildren, Shaun, Heather, David, Beth, Colin, Dereck, Matthew, Ethan, Christopher, Emily, Abbie, Megan, Jenann, Kristen, Thomas, Jr.; 17 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, February 19, 2021, at the Kingsbury Volunteer Hose Company, 7991 Burgoyne Ave, Hudson Falls.  Masks must be worn and all Covid-19 restrictions will be observed.

Funeral services will follow the calling hours at 6 p.m. at the Hose Company.

A celebration of life for both Jim and Betty’s family and friends will be held at a later date.

GRANVILLE- Annette Elizabeth (DuPell) Orsini, 61, formerly of South Glens Falls and Hudson Falls, passed away on February 10, 2021, at Slate Valley Center, after a long struggle with leukodystrophy.
Born March 12,1959 in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late G. Patrick and Theresa (Genereux) DuPell.
Annette graduated in 1977 from St. Mary’s Academy in Glens Falls. After graduation she was employed as a bookkeeper at the Queensbury Hotel. Annette held retail jobs locally with Barker’s Department Store and Barber’s Market until she paused employment to become a full-time mother to her children, Melina Daniels (Marlo) and Francis Orsini (Shawn). Prior to her retirement she was employed as a Pharmacy Assistant at the Queensbury Price Chopper.
Annette always had a fantastic sense of humor, often introducing herself to people as “Hi, I’m Annette, sometimes A-Nut!”. She loved dancing in her kitchen to Tom Petty and Todd Rundgren. While in that kitchen, Annette was well ahead of her time as a chef to her children, making them McDonald’s style cheeseburgers at home with fresh ingredients. She was fiercely loyal to her sisters, and was always interested and proud of the accomplishments of her children, even in the late stages of her illness when she couldn’t converse as much with them.
In addition to her children, Annette is survived by her sisters, Theresa Pratt (David), Marie Caschera (Tony), Patricia Denino (Rocky), Gisele Freed (Brian) and Michelle Place (Timothy); her sister-in-law, Leigh Cenate (Bill); and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
Burial will take place in the spring at St. Mary’s Cemetery in the town of Fort Edward.
The family suggests that donations in Annette’s name be made to Kennedy Krieger Institute, 707 N. Broadway, Baltimore, MD 21205 or The Open Door Mission, 226 Warren St., Glens Falls, NY 12801.

QUEENSBURY – Rev. Almon M. Bartholomew, with his wife Joyce at his bedside, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, Feb 4, 2021.

Almon was born Oct 15, 1929, in the town of Fort Edward, the 5th of 8 children, to his parents Almon H. and Irene (O’Neal) Bartholomew. A miraculous healing of a life-threatening condition at his birth changed his parent’s lives. 

His education began in a one-room schoolhouse, culminating in graduation from Hudson Falls High at age 16. There his interest in music began as he became a member of the marching band and choir. Also, at the age of 16, his passion for the work of the Lord became evident in the call to the ministry. He graduated from Zion Bible Institute in E. Providence, RI and did further studies at Glassboro State College in NJ.

He met the love of his life, Joyce M. Parrish, at their home church during their teen years. After their studies at Zion Bible Institute, they were married Nov 5, 1949 at Gospel Lighthouse Church in Hudson Falls.  Together they pastored 5 churches in New England, NJ, and NY before being elected as Superintendent of the NY District of the Assemblies of God, where he served for 21 years. In 1987, he was elected as an Executive Presbyter of the General Council of the Assemblies of God.

Almon will be remembered as a man of God, a servant to many, a mentor to ministers. He was a man of integrity, compassion, loyalty, and kindness. His family was blessed by the consistency in his Godly character in the home and daily life. His sense of humor was a delight to all around.

Almon is predeceased by siblings, Raymond J. Bartholomew, Hugh D. Bartholomew, Janice Hall, and Irene Backus, and grandson, Paul J. Kent.

He is survived by Joyce, his wife of 71 years; his children, Sylvia (Albert) Kent and James (Renna) Bartholomew; siblings, Audrey Hall, Paul (Christine) Bartholomew, and Carolyn (Ronald) Hittenberger; grandchildren, Joshua Bartholomew, Summer Hudson, James Kent, Mariesa Kent; great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A private celebration of life will take place on Sat, Feb 13, 2021 for close family.
