HUDSON FALLS – Jacob P. Bruce, 44, of Hudson Falls, passed away unexpectedly Saturday morning, June 4, 2022 at home.

Born on March 28, 1978 in Glens Falls, he was a lifelong area resident and son of Hugh James and Lorraine Lynn (Pratt) Bruce.

Jacob enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing in local lakes and streams. He loved to cook and had a heart of gold that he wore on his sleeve, extending his love to the people he cared about the most.

Jacob is survived by his parents, Hugh J. Bruce of Gansevoort and Lorraine Bruce of Queensbury; his siblings, H. James Bruce (Stephanie) of Fort Ann, Angelica James (Ryan) of Glens Falls, Ariel Bruce (Jamie Mattison) of Hudson Falls, Tyler Bruce of Hudson Falls, and Jennifer Brewer-DeRush (Coty) of Gansevoort; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Friends may call from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls. A service will follow at 3:00 pm.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

HUDSON FALLS – Fanny T. (Sarchioto) Gaulin, 100, of Martindale Avenue, passed away peacefully, at her home on June 1, 2022.

Born on December 28, 1921, in Fort Edward, she was the daughter of the late Marco and Antoinette (Iuliucci) Sarchioto. 

On October 2, 1948, she married Leonard Gaulin at St. Joseph’s Church in Fort Edward.  He passed away February 27, 2013, after 64 years of marriage.

She was a communicant of St. Mary’s/St. Paul’s Church in Hudson Falls.

Fanny loved to travel with her husband and sister.   She had journeyed to Alaska, Hawaii, Greece, Central America, Mexico, Cancun, Aruba and many states throughout our country. 

Tomatoes were her specialty grown from her own seeds.  She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family.   Visiting with her neighbors also gave her great pleasure.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Leonard, her son in law, Lester Moumblo, her brothers, Joseph, Dominick, Thomas and John Sarchioto and her sisters, Elizabeth Irish, Carmella Gilbert, Joan McCabe, Lillian Rourke and Rose Frank.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Mark Gaulin (Sue), Barbara Nadeau, Jane Moumblo, Elizabeth Gaulin (John Shaw) and Patricia O’Connor (James); Grandchildren and great grandchildren, Jessica Stout (Keith) and children, Chloe and Henry, Lynn May (Travis) and children, Chenery and Julian, Jared O’Connor (Jennifer), Kasey O’Connor (Zachery Winney) and Samuel Moumblo (Taylor Winney).

The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to mom’s caregivers, Mary Beth, Reanna, Aleshia, Denise and Jeffie.  Mom loved them dearly.

The Rite of Committal will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 6, 2022, at St. Paul’s Cemetery in the town of Kingsbury.

HUDSON FALLS – June L. Holman, 75, of Hudson Falls, passed away Monday evening, May 30, 2022 at Glens Falls Hospital with her family by her side.

Born on June 1, 1946 in Glens Falls, she was a life-long area resident and daughter of the late James Boyce and Lorraine Stanford.

June was a graduate of St. Peter’s Academy in Saratoga Springs. She worked in housekeeping for many years at several local hotels and enjoyed her workday spent with her co-workers that she affectionately called “The Girls”. They were a big joy in her life, and she enjoyed the comradery she had with them.

June enjoyed crocheting dolls and blankets and completing jigsaw puzzles. She liked entertaining her friends and watching reality television shows. June loved spending time with her family and will always be remembered as being stern but also having a huge heart.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her sisters, Genie McDonald and Pat Sabo; and brothers, Roger Stanford and Al Bullard.

June is survived by her children, Sherry Palmateer of Ballston Spa, Dan Waldron of Hudson Falls and Todd Waldron also of Hudson Falls; her grandchildren, Josh, Dylon, Amber, Nicholas, Jordan, Kyle, Daniel, and Destiny; 10 great-grandchildren; her brothers, Bill Stanford, Art Bullard, and James Boyce; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

FORT EDWARD – Lois I. Lindsey of Lamplighter Acres passed away May 25, 2022, at the age of 86

She was born in Hudson Falls Nov 19, 1935, daughter of the late Ernest and Irene (Weller) Covey.

She was married 39 years to Thomas Lindsey who died October 24, 2016.

Lois is also predeceased by her sister, Rita Keech (2018) and her brother-in-law, Richard Keech (2019).

Lois graduated from Hudson Falls School. She retired from Airland Auto Parts after 20 years and 30 years as an Avon representative.

Lois was a devoted Christian to the Seventh-Day Adventist Church of Kingsbury.

Some of her favorite pastimes were reading and playing Scrabble.

Left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Kevin Elms of Fort Edward and Keith Elms of Hudson Falls; her stepchildren, Donna Degener of Porter Corners, Donald Lindsey of Fort Edward and Richard Lindsey of Porter Corners; She had many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; two nieces, two nephews and their children.

Calling hours will be June 12th at 10am followed by a Memorial service at 11 am at her church, the Seventh-day Adventist church, Route 4 in Kingsbury.

Family and friends are invited to join a Potluck after the services.

SOUTH GLENS FALLS – Tom W. Stimpson, 71, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, May 28, 2022.

Born on July 25, 1950, in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late Luneda and William Stimpson.

Tom attended Glens Falls High School before proudly serving in the United States Army.

He was faithfully employed at Goldstein Auto Center in Albany for over 20 years.  Tom’s skills as an expert in autobody repair were well known in the area.  He loved cars and for a time he opened his own custom shop, named Formula One, located in Miami and Queensbury.  He also was an avid NASCAR fan, who enjoyed all forms of oval track racing and drag racing.

Although he loved auto racing, one of the highlights of his life was raising his grandson, Tyler for the past 13 years.  Tom was always supportive and there for his family.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, John Stimpson and his former companion, Nancy Ballard.

He is survived by his children, Tommy “Tom Tom” Stimpson and his wife, Amber, Candy Stimpson-Knapp, Trisha M. Stimpson and Tyler Stimpson; his grandchildren, Jessica Knapp, Bella Stimpson and Connor Stimpson; his siblings, Joyann Stimpson, Barry Stimpson and his wife, Sandy, Robin Wood, Dale Stimpson; his former spouse, Peggy Stimpson; and his lifelong friend, Brett Catone.

Friends may call on Sunday, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.

Burial with full military honors will be at the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in the town of Stillwater at the convenience of the family.

GANSEVOORT – Deborah Ann (Heustis) Robinson, 59 of Gansevoort, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 23, 2022 at Washington Center, in Argyle.

Born on May 3, 1963 in Glens Falls, She is the daughter of Joan Wells of Hudson Falls and the late Frederick James Huestis, Sr.

Deborah was a volunteer at the South Street Center in Glens Falls. She was also employed at the Georgian Motel.

On September 10, 1993, she was married to John Robert Robinson by Judge Joseph Allen in Hudson Falls.

Her enjoyments in life included fishing, barbecuing, and playing bingo at the South Street Center. She also loved playing rummy with her friends, bowling at Pine Lanes in South Glens Falls, watching wrestling on television and at the Civic Center.  According to John, she was a sharp pool player. 

Mrs. Robison was predeceased by her maternal and paternal grandparents.  She is also predeceased by several aunts and uncles, and her brother, Lawrence Ormsby 

Survivors include 3 brothers, Daniel Huestis (wife Jennifer Huestis) of Gansevoort, Kevin Huestis of Tennessee, and Frederick Huestis, Jr. of Hudson Falls; 2 sisters, Denise Huestis, and Shawn Rickman who both reside in Beaumont, Texas.  

She loved all of her nephews, nieces and cousins.

HUDSON FALLS – Deborah “Debbie” Wade-Ward, 69, of Hudson Falls, passed away peacefully, May 19, 2022, at Glens Falls Hospital.

Born on February 15, 1953, in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Lillian (Atchinson) and Charles Fuller, Sr.

Debbie attended Fort Edward High School.

For many years, Debbie was a machine operator for Scott Paper Company in Fort Edward.

On June 30, 2007, Debbie married her husband, George Floyd Ward.

Debbie loved listening to music, watching her show “Days of Our Lives”, going shopping and anything and everything FROGS.

In addition to her parents, Debbie was predeceased by her late husband of six years, Joel Wade; a sister, Eleanor Watson; her son, Scott Therrien; her granddaughter, Marie Fuss and a very special cat, Shadow.

Left to cherish her memory include her husband of nearly 15 years, George Ward; her son, Michael (Joann) Therrien of Queensberry; her daughter, Rachael (Clyde) Sandifur of Tennessee; her three brothers; Charles Fuller, Jr. of Glens Falls, Ray (Glenda) Fuller of Queensberry and Jackie (Heather) Fuller of Lake George; one sister,  Denice Stimpson of Hudson Falls; her grandchildren, Emily Therrien, Seth Therrien, Cortney Therrien, Cameron Therrien, Stephen Fuss, Andrew Fuss, Daniel Fuss and Matthew Fuss; four great grandchildren; as well as several close friends that she made over seven year stay at the Fort Hudson nursing home.

Burial will take place at Union Cemetery in the town of Fort Edward at the convenience of the family.

SOUTH GLENS FALLS – G. Peter Jensen, 79, passed away peacefully May 17, 2022, with his loving family by his side at Glens Falls Hospital.

Born on January 5, 1943, in Troy, NY, he was the son of the late Howard and Gladys (Spencer) Jensen. Peter grew up on a dairy farm in Melrose, NY where he attended a one-room schoolhouse and eventually graduated from Tamarac High School. He went on to earn his Associate Degree in Applied Science at SUNY Delhi.

On August 30, 1974, he married the love of his life, Sharon Kestner in Glens Falls, NY.

Peter was a workaholic, working several jobs over the years. He worked at Saratoga Associates, where he obtained his license in Architecture, and later worked at North Colonie Schools as Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds where he then retired in 2007. Peter owned and operated Jensen’s Architecture, creating blueprints for numerous homes and businesses throughout the area. Peter loved to give his time to different organizations. He was the Chairman of the town of Moreau planning board for 35 years and was a member of the Historical Society in South Glens Falls and the town of Moreau.   He volunteered his time as the building and groundskeeper and oversaw the maintenance at the Parks Bentley Place.

Peter was proud to have served for 40 years in the Army National Guard. He had an amazing work ethic and believed in honesty and integrity, passing down those values to his beloved family.

He loved being with his family and supporting them wherever they may need it. He was always there to lend ahelping hand to his wife with her flower gardens and enjoyed birdwatching. Peter liked watching the Yankees play and he was known to be an excellent bowler. Even though Peter was a hard worker, he never missed an opportunity to spend time with his family, often attended sporting events for his children and granddaughters.  He was affectionately known by his granddaughters as “Oppy”.  Peter was a man of few words, but when asked how he was he would reply, “I’m vertical”.  He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by a sister, Evelyn Wheeler; a brother, Donald Jensen; and his in-laws, Francis and Daphne Kestner.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Sharon Jensen of South Glens Falls; his children, Hans Jensen of Seattle, WA, Heidi Olsen and her husband, Justin of Granville; his granddaughters, Ella, Lily, and Alexa; his sister, Norma Fletcher of Troy; his brother-in-law, Terry Kestner and his wife, Cathy of Hudson Falls; as well as many nieces, nephews, friends and colleagues.

Friends may call, Friday, May 20, 2022, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc, 68 Main St., in Hudson Falls.

A funeral service will be conducted Saturday, 10 a.m., at the funeral home with the Reverend Tony Childs, officiating.

Burial will follow the funeral service, Saturday, at Pine View Cemetery in the town of Queensbury.

All are welcome to a gathering at St. Michael’s the Archangel Church, 80 Saratoga Ave., in South Glens Falls, following the burial.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the providers and staff at Adirondack Cardiology, Dr. Filion, the staff of the ICU at Glens Falls Hopsital and Dr. Amy Hogan-Moulton for her care and kind words, “He was a gift to the community and to all who knew him; smart, honest and generous.”

HUDSON FALLS – Brandon “BT” St. John, 27, passed away unexpectedly at his home on May 14, 2022.

Born on April 18, 1995, in Glens Falls, he was the son of Thomas St. John.

He attended Lake George and Fort Ann Schools, eventually obtaining his GED.

Brandon was an aspiring barber who worked for several local barbers as a Barbers Apprentice.  He had also worked as a landscaper for Nim’s Outdoor Services for a time.

He loved playing basketball and was known for being a skilled player throughout his time at school and shooting hoops recreationally in the neighborhood.  He enjoyed listening to rap music and singing along with his favorite songs, even though he couldn’t carry a tune.  Brandon especially loved spending time with his family out on the farm.  His greatest love was boating on Lake George where he enjoyed taking in all the beautiful scenery around him.  He will be remembered for his bright smile that could light up a room.

He was predeceased by his grandparents, Patty and John Donlon.

Brandon is survived by his father, Thomas St. John and his fiancé, Shelley Stepan of Hudson Falls; his girlfriend, Maia McDonald of Whitehall; his siblings, Louis Wright and his wife, Stacy of Hudson Falls, Nichole Wright of VA, Brandi St. John of Queensbury, Josh Krywy and his fiancé, Sarah Newton of Hudson Falls and Jacquelyn Foster and her husband, Matthew of Hudson Falls; his grandfather, Joe St. John and his significant other, Irene Brown of Hudson Falls; his nieces and nephews, Hannah, Kenzie, Natoyia, Wyatt, Layne, Sylas, Kam and McKenzie; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Friends may call on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, from 2 to 3 p.m., at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.

Funeral services will follow the calling hour on Tuesday at 3 p.m. with the Reverend Flossie Bates, officiating.

GLENS FALLS – Jean Collins McGregor Kelleher left her earthly home on May 15, 2022, taking with her many unforgettable memories, some bittersweet and some delightful treasures.  They shaped who she was.  So many loved ones touched her heart and made her trip in life a beautiful adventure. 

Jean Ida Collins was born April 10, 1934, to the late Myrtle and Allen Collins.  She was their 7^th child and 2^nd girl.  Jean was born in Kingsbury but grew up in Glens Falls.  Jean attended Abraham Wing school where she earned an American Legion award for 8^th grade girl.  She graduated from Glens Falls High School in 1951, earning her Honor Society pin at graduation.  She was also awarded an American Legion ribbon for the best essay history “The 6 Most Outstanding Presidential Elections.”  In 1953 she graduated from Suny Cobleskill with an A.A.S. Degree and orange key.  Her oldest brother, Homer, helped her parents send her to college.  She was an Alpha Sigma Delta and Theta Gamma Sweetheart and her future husband was campus king.  In 1955 she married her college sweetheart, Peter McGregor, and they were blessed with 4 precious children.  In 1982 Peter died tragically, leaving the family shattered.  Grandma said you have 4 good reasons to go on, and with love and support, we survived.  In 1986, Jean remarried David Kelleher, who was also widowed and recovering from a happy marriage to Margaret Kelleher.  They had 3 loving children and 2 granddaughters.  After we all adjusted, life was good and family times returned.  In 2012 we lost Dave tragically to cancer.  Dave showed much strength, faith, and humor during a 3-year battle.  He left us trying to follow his example to go on.   

In 1995 Jean retired from Nynex after working 37 years for the company.  She called it her dream job and had many friends there.  Jean was Telephone Pioneer of the year in 1983.  The Pioneers staged fashion shows where the profits went to local children with serious health problems.  During retirement Jean working at Glens Falls Hospital as a sitter where she met many dedicated people.

Jean taught church school at the Church of the Messiah and helped put on several Christmas pageants.  She loved writing poetry, her union, the C.W.A., politics, Red Sox, making poetic posters for people at the special time in their life, swimming in her backyard pool early a.m. into the fall, making fudge, spending time with all her family and extended family. 

Besides her parents, Jean was predeceased by her first spouse, Peter McGregor; her second spouse, David Kelleher; her son, Brian McGregor; as well as many brothers, sisters, nephews & nieces. 

Jean is survived by her 1^st marriage by son Bruce & daughter-in-law Mary Ann McGregor; son, Brett McGregor; daughter, Pam & son-in-law Alex Labrum; grandsons Jared & Brandon Labrum.  Through her 2^nd marriage she is survived by son, Dan (Sue) Kelleher, daughter Colleen (Scott) Cushing & daughter, Kathy Smith; granddaughter Jackie (Scott) Cordell & Cassandra (Colin) Donnaruma; and many nephews and nieces whom she loved dearly. 

A graveside service will be held 10 a.m., on Thursday, May 19^th, 2022, at Union Cemetery in the town of Fort Edward.

FORT EDWARD – Kelista “Kelly” Elinor (Way) Knurek was born on December 27^th, 1944, and lived to be 77 years old.

Kelly passed into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on May 14, 2022.  She passed peacefully at her home with family by her side in Fort Edward.

She suffered from several medical complications.  She was predeceased by her parents, William W. Way, Sr. and Dorothy Ellen (LaMoy) Way of Plattsburgh.  Her sister and brother, Donna Hicks and William Way, Jr., her mother-in-law, Barbara Knurek, her daughter in law, Betty Furnia and father of her children, Gerald Furnia. 

She is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob” Knurek; five children, Karina, Valerie, Cheryl, Jerry and Lori; 11 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.  She is also survived by her four siblings, Douglas, Mary, Sheila and Terry as well as her dog, Mitzy, who she dearly loved with all her heart.

Kelly served the Lord Jesus for many years.  She was a caregiver, nurse, cook and she enjoyed serving meals to hundreds of people.  She also loved gardening, writing and witnessing to everyone about what Jesus did for her in her life.

Kelly was an incredible generous and giving person.  Operation Christmas Child was near and dear to her heart.

Kelly loved to help people and was a valued member of her church for many years.  Her favorite saying was “find a need and fill it”.  Kelly was loved by many and will be greatly missed forever.  Her legacy and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Calling hours will be Monday, May 23, 2022, from 10 am to 11:30 a.m., at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.

Funeral services will follow the calling hour, 11:30 a.m., on Monday at the funeral home.  Session ID – 7929840461 and password will be – Knurek for Zoom meeting, which will be present during a portion of the funeral service.

Burial will follow at 2:30 pm at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in the town of Stillwater.
