HUDSON FALLS – Yvonne V. Hamelin, 90, of North Street, passed away at home, surrounded by her family on Wednesday, November 11, 2015.
Born on July 28, 1925 in Chicopee Falls, MA, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Taylor) Gadrick.
In 1942, she married George Hamelin, Sr. He passed away in 1980.
She and her husband operated George Hamelin Blacktop Paving until her retirement.
Yvonne enjoyed crocheting, playing cards and baking fancy cakes. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
Besides her parents and husband, Yvonne was predeceased by her son, George Hamelin, Jr., a brother, Edward Gadrich, a sister, Marie Lundy and her grandson, Richard Hamelin.
Survivors include her son, Joseph J. Hamelin of Gilboa, NY; her grandchildren, Russell Hamelin, Dawn Marie Ross, Brian Hamelin, Theresa Copeland, Jeff Hamelin, Deborah Hamelin; several great grandchildren; her sister, Dorothy Barber of Granville; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Yvonne’s family wishes to thank Pat and Lisa, for the wonderful loving care given to Yvonne.
There will be no services.
Arrangements are under the care of Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.

Joey and family, so sorry about Aunt Yvonne. Know it’s bee many years, but I think of you guys often. Did not know Marie passed away. Sorry for that. Hope you and your family will do ok.
