Following high school, he extended his studies through coursework at Adirondack Community College, the Electronic Computer Programming Institute, and AIB.

From 1965-1970, he worked for Sandy Hill. From 1996-1999, he worked in the data processing department at Glens Falls National Bank. Throughout his adult life, Bob was a strong advocate of public education. Everyone who met Bob soon learned that he adored his family above all…. and many could tell you as well of his second great love: golf. Over the course of his full, rich life, he also enjoyed bowling, camping with his family, fishing, canoeing, hunting with his buddies, many a morning breakfast with his friends and playing cards.
