William H. Fish, Jr.

Fish, WilliamFORT EDWARD – William H. Fish, Jr., 78, of Reynolds Road, passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2014, at the Glens Falls Hospital.

Born on June 30, 1935, in Fort Edward, he was the son of the late William H. and Aileen (Daley) Fish, Sr.

William attended Fort Edward High School until he enlisted in the United States Army at the age of 17 during the Korean War. Several years later he reenlisted in the U.S. Army and fought two tours in Vietnam. He retired from the Army in 1979 as an E-6.

On August 13, 1960, he married Gloria (Sherman) Munger in New Hampshire. After his military service he worked for Burns Security until 1999. He then worked for American Legion Post 574 of Hudson Falls as a bartender. As a member of the Legion, he was a past commander and served many rolls, including the Color Guard and as Chaplain. He enjoyed bowling.

His children say this about their dad; “Dad you were very special to us and now you are our angel in Heaven. We will always love and remember you”

In addition to his mother and father, he is predeceased by a brother, Allen Fish.

William is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Gloria Fish of Fort Edward; his children, Bill Fish, III and his wife Robin, Larry Munger, Shirley LaFavor and her husband, Keith, Cindy Fish, Dianne Kline and her husband, Jim, Michael Fish and his wife, Teresa, Karen Tucker and her husband, Mike, Nancy Kimble and her husband, Glenn ; 17 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; his brothers Kenneth Fish and his wife, June, Tom Fish and his wife, Dorothy, Ron Fish and his companion Gary; his sister Nancy Fish; and his faithful dog and companion, Molly Mae.

Friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 19, 2014, at America Legion Post 574 of Hudson Falls at 72 Pearl St., in Hudson Falls.

Services will follow the calling hours at 6 p.m. at the legion.

Mary Louise Fish

MFishHUDSON FALLS – Mary Louise Fish, 84, of Dix Avenue, passed away at her home on Sunday, June 16, 2013.

Born on February 23, 1929, in Fenimore, she was the daughter of the late James B. and Ellen (Lewis) Smith.

She was a graduate of Hudson Falls High School. In 1946, she married Jerry Fish at the Gospel Lighthouse Assemblies of God Church in Hudson Falls. He passed away in 1996. Mary was employed at Imperial Paint and Paper formerly in Queensbury and then Arkell and Smith, which was later known as Chase Bag, formerly in the town of Moreau.

She was a lifetime member of the Gospel Lighthouse Assemblies of God Church in Hudson Falls. After her husband retired, they enjoyed traveling. Mary liked knitting and crocheting things, especially for her grandchildren. She was a kind and thoughtful lady who was well thought of by everyone who knew her, especially her family and friends.

Mary is survived by her son, Neal Fish and his wife, Lynne of Queensbury; her grandchildren, Briana Willigan and her husband, Michael, Darren Fish and his fiancé Katrina Mraz and Blake Fish and his wife, Christy; her great-grandchildren, Nathan Willigan and Morgan Willigan; her brother, Phillip Smith and his wife, Phyllis of Hudson Falls; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call from 12 noon to 2 p.m. on Thursday at the Gospel Lighthouse Church on Lacrosse St. in Hudson Falls.

Funeral services will take place at 2 p.m. Thursday at the church with the Rev. Paul Mead, pastor officiating. Burial will follow at Moss Street Cemetery in the town of Kingsbury.

Wayne John Michael Fish

FishARGYLE – Wayne John Michael Fish, 54, of Argyle, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2013, at the Glens Falls Hospital.

Born on July 28, 1958, in Glens Falls, he was the son of Grace (Sebert) Fish of Glens Falls and the late Michael Maurice Fish.

Wayne was a US Army veteran.  On September 10, 1988, he married Debbie Clark in Glens Falls.

He was employed as an EMT.  He served as a Ministerial Servant of South Glens Falls Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.  Wayne enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie Fish of Argyle; his son, Nathan Clark-Fish of Gloversville; his daughter, Katelynn Fiume and her husband, Cory of Argyle; his grandchildren, Damita and Ezra Fiume; his nine siblings, Jean Manning and her husband, Paul of Chesapeake, VA, Susan Maluvccio and her husband, Joseph of Fort Edward, Peter Fish and his wife, Connie of Queensbury; William Fish and his wife, Sheila of Queensbury, Kathleen Fish of Missouri, Margaret Mylott and her husband, Walter of Glens Falls, Joanne Duffy and her husband, Kevin of Lake George, Daniel Fish of Saratoga and Gail LaManda and her husband, Michael of Greenville; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.

Prayers will be offered at 8 P.M. Wednesday evening at the funeral home by the Rev. Nellis Tremblay.

A Memorial Service will take place at 7 P.M on Saturday at the Kingdom Hall of the Jehovah’s Witness on Murray St. with Elder Jim Kelly, officiating.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Memorial donations may be sent to the charity of one’s choice.
