Robert R. Hunt

SOUTH GLENS FALLS – Robert R. Hunt of South Glens Falls passed away after a battle with cancer on Sunday, March 16, 2025, at his home with his family by his side.

Born on July 8, 1957, in Saratoga Springs, he was the son of the late Henry Margaret (Wright) Hunt.

On May 26, 2001, he was married to Sharon (Hart) for the second time.

Robert served in the United States Army for four years active and three years in the National Guard.

Robert was an avid outdoorsman, who loved camping, hunting, fishing four-wheeling, campfires and spending time with his family and best buds, Joe Dominy and Keith Gilligan.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Donna, his brother Michael, his grandparents, Pearl and John Wright and Henry and Irene Hunt and several aunts and uncles.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon Hunt of South Glens Falls; his children, Alicia (John) Vetter of Chesapeake, VA, Tony (Ashley) Hunt of South Glens Falls and Andrew Chittenden; his grandchildren, Edwin, Lily, Aj, Summer, Anna, Brett, Hailey and Ethan; his sisters, Pearl Jarvis and Marge Dickinson; his brother, John Hunt; several nieces and nephews; seven sisters in law and one brother in law.

Calling hours will be on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.

Burial with full military honors will be later in the week to be announced at the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in the town of Stillwater.
