He grew up in West Fort Ann where he met his forever love, Jody Ward and they were married on May 6th, 1989 in the Bay Road Presbyterian Church in Queensbury.

Joe worked as a Lawn and Garden Technician for Sears for over 16 years, then went on to spend his last 15 plus years as a HVAC Shop Maintenance Technician for Stewart’s Shops; a job he loved and where he met a lot of wonderful people who became his great friends.

Joe also had many friends and co-workers whom he thought the world of. Some of his closest buddies were Todd Colomb, John Cote, Doug Ryan, Chris Godfrey, Scott Winchell, Dave McGarr, David Stockman, and Jeff Ringer.

Joe loved fishing especially with his Dad, his brothers, and his son Roddy, and daughter Cassidi, and he enjoyed the “Boys Annual Fishing Trip”. He also loved his 1946 Ford Street Rod and going to car shows. His dream was to retire and own his own collection of cars.

He was predeceased by his infant daughter Jenna Yvette Wright; his paternal grandparents Reginald and Jenny Wright, his maternal grandparents Charles and Dorothy Brower, and his Father-in-law and best friend Rodman Ward.

“I’ve lost my one and only love, my best friend, my soulmate. I will cherish every memory of our journey together. Your life was cut way too short but while you were here with us you made us feel safe and loved, you made us laugh at all your jokes and sayings and you were always the life of a family get together or party. You were the Best husband, Dad, Papa, son, brother, Uncle, and friend. You will never ever be forgotten Joseph Paul Wright. I will miss you every single day of my life until we meet again”.

“To my Pops, I truly don’t know what all of us are going to do now having lost such a kind, warm-hearted man. You were Superman to me, except I thought there was no kryptonite out there that could bring you down. I am currently a better man and father because of you, and I will continue to prove that to you. I’m glad we got to grow together these past few months. I wish I had all the knowledge you had, but I will cherish all of your help and advice. I’m going to miss having a bourbon and watching Mecum’s Car Auctions with you. You could always tell me every detail of every car before the announcer could. As I’ve said before, “I got you Pops”, I will continue to be the father you always bragged I was, and I will grow and be the man you knew I could be, Love you Pops”

“To my Dad, You were truly the best dad, you always made sure I knew, and showed how much you loved and cared about me. You showed a huge interest in everything I did and always supported every decision I made. I will never forget how so proud you were of me, and how you made sure everyone else knew it as well. I will continue to work very hard and continue to make you proud. I feel so lost without you, you were my best friend, always on my side. I honestly don’t know what I will do without you, but you taught me how to be strong and get through anything life throws you. I love you so much Dad, I will forever miss you every single day. Love Sass”

Please hug your loved ones and tell them you love them every day, because you never know…

The Rite of Committal will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Paul’s Cemetery in the town of Kingsbury.
