Devon Marie Smith

GLENS FALLS- Devon Marie Smith, 28, of Glens Falls, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 17th, 2019.

Born on September 19, 1990 in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of Nicole (Chilson) Bussey and the late David “Bubba” Smith.

There are many people you encounter along the journey of life. Devon was one of those people you wanted to cross paths with along that journey. She was an exceptional woman with a huge heart. The kind of person to do anything for anyone without hesitation. The love and support she showed for the people she loved and cared about was phenomenal.

She was loved and adored by so many. Her memory will live on forever through the hearts of the people who loved her.

In addition to her father, Devon is predeceased by her grandmother, Lovila Helene Hughes; her grandfathers, Joseph “Poppy Joe” Raymond Hughes and William “Bill” Smith.

Devon leaves behind two beautiful and brave daughters, Jazlynn Connor and Nataleah Smith, who she adored and loved more than anything in this world. A strong and courageous sister, Laken Smith, niece Laelani Smith and nephew Antoine Shaw: her mother, Nicole Bussey; her grandmother, Barbra Pannell; three cousins; Crystal Smith, Kaylan Scott-Carpenter and Deja Scott; her aunts, Tammy Smith, Maggie Molloy and Brenda O’Malley; her uncle Scott Smith; best friends, Raymond White and Rachel Sumner-Chesney; and many other family and friends.

Family and friends may come or call to pay their respects on Saturday, May 25th, 2019 from 12 (noon) until 2 PM at Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.

A celebration of life is to follow the calling hours on Saturday, at 591 Lower Allen Street in Hudson Falls.

A burial will be held on Friday, May 31st, 2019 at 11 AM at St. Mary’s Cemetery in South Glens Falls.

The family request that flowers be ordered from the Posie Peddler, 92 West Ave, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866 or memorial donations may be sent to her children.
