HUDSON FALLS – Darlene M. (Havens) Hogan of Hudson Falls, passed peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, May 4, 2024.

Born November 27, 1937, in Fort Edward, she was the beloved only child of Merrill and Rita (Jarvis) Havens. Darlene would often comment about how blessed she was to have married into a large Catholic family.

Darlene was predeceased by the love of her life Leonard, her husband of 52 years, where every day was a holiday, and every meal was a banquet. 

After her most rewarding job of raising seven children she went onto co-manage Hogan’s Dairy Bar. She continued her career at Finch Pruyn, the Wilton Developmental Center, and retired from the Washington Correctional Facility. 

Following retirement spending time with her grands and great grands kept Nanny forever young, including keeping the candy jar full. Darlene’s passion for camping, traveling and being “gone-again” spans her lifetime. In her travels she visited several national parks and RV’ed at nearly fifty ADK Balloon Festivals. She traveled to all but three states. She would often reminisce about the countless campfires filled with lots of love and laughter. Darlene hung up her RV keys this spring at the youthful age of eighty-six. She has a lifetime of travel memories and cherished the friendships she nurtured along the way. 

Darlene never shied away from any adventure. She was an avid camper and an active member of the Adirondack Good Sams camping club, and the Northeast Hot Air RV’ers. The outings with the Naughty Ladies of Shady Lane were near and dear to her heart. She was a former volunteer of the Glens Falls Hospital Guild for decades, as well as the Fort Hudson Nursing home.

She is survived by her loving children, Beth, Denis, and Mary, Maureen and George Dennis, Colleen and Joe Bethel, Jane and Mike Daly, Jim and Lynn, and Dana and Michele; her grandchildren, Sean, Emily, Lea, Briana, Jim, Joey, Brittany, Robert, Vicki, John, Adam, Christi, Caitlin, and Sam; her great grandchildren, Hogan, Harper, Dominic, Troy, and Jack; and her favorite four-legged travel companion, Jenna. She is also survived by countless extended family and close friends who she loved and cherished. 

At Darlene’s request, there will be no calling hours. 

A funeral mass for Darlene will be held at St. Mary’s/St. Paul’s Church on 11 Wall Street in Hudson Falls at 11am on Wednesday, May 8, 2024.

The family recognizes how fortunate they have been to have had the constant loving and caring support of family and friends during this difficult time.

HUDSON FALLS – Michelle Christine “Moms” Wilson; On May 4th, 2024, Michelle passed away at home surrounded by love, after battling Lewy Body Dementia for the last 2 years. She was born October 21, 1961, to Stanley Frank Getty, Jr and Phyllis Sadie Getty in Granville, NY. 

Michelle was predeceased by her parents Stanley Frank Getty, Jr and Phyllis Sadie (Barber) Getty; Mother in-law, Carol Darius; father in-law, Henry Wilson; Sister in-law, Diane Wilson-Skeels; her sister, Mary Barton and niece, Kristen Lynn. 

Michelle met her husband Philip E Wilson, Sr. when they were 16 years old. They were high school sweethearts and married February 27, 1981 in Granville. NY. 

Michelle worked in customer service/cashier at Price Chopper for many years, up until she had to medically retire in 2020. She was a natural born caregiver, from raising her 4 children, to caring for her parents and caring for her 11 grandchildren/great-grandchildren. She enjoyed her time caring for her grandson, Levi, the first 2 years of his life. Her happiest moments were with her grandchildren. She loved going to Florida to visit family and attend Disney World. She lived her life young at heart. 

Loved ones left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 46 years Philip E Wilson, Sr. of Hudson Falls; children, Philip E Wilson, Jr. (Mary) of Hudson Falls, Erica (Willard, Sr) Baker of Argyle, Jeremy Wilson of Salem, Joshua (Kayla) Wilson of Hudson Falls, and Olivia (Randy Davis) Wilson of South Glens Falls; grandchildren, Lindsie Baker, Willard Baker, Jr. (Mackenzie), Kempton Wilson, Garrett Baker (Kira), Levi Wilson, Audrey Wilson, Parker Wilson, and Addison Wilson; great grandchildren, Morgan Wilson-Donnelly, Eli Wilson, and Brody P. Baker, due in October; brother, Bill (Sally) Getty of Florida; brother in-laws, Doug (Jane) Wilson of Ticonderoga, Michael (Pene) Wilson of Granville, George Barton, Jr. of Salem; and three special nieces, Christine, Amy and Sadie, as well many nieces and nephews. 

The family would like to thank High Peaks Hospice. Dr. John Quaresima and Ruthie Whitney from Moreau family health. Olivia for 2 years of amazing home care, Garret and Kayla for the last 2 months, providing the best care for Michelle so we could keep her comfortable at home. 

There will be no calling hours. Graveside services will be announced at a later date.

GLENS FALLS – Richard “Rick” Lowell Washburn, 66, passed away peacefully in his home on May 2nd surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. 

Born on May 21, 1957 to Gerald and Marilla Washburn, Rick grew up in Fort Ann, New York where he loved playing football and bass fishing. A talented athlete, Rick played both high school football for Fort Ann and semi-professional football for the Hudson Falls Greenjackets as a wide receiver and a running back. After graduating from high school Rick enlisted in the United States Air Force where he proudly served his country. Following his service, Rick became an HVAC technician and was employed by Lyons VA in New Jersey as well as working in the industry throughout New York for many years. An adventurous spirit, Rick also spent time as a competitive kayaker in Costa Rica and was a member of the Olympic trials kayak rescue team. 

In 1994 Rick married Bonnie Culver and the couple moved to Bakers Mills, NY where they spent their time spoiling their menagerie of pets. While Rick loved all animals, he was especially fond of his five dachshunds that he affectionately referred to as his children. During this time Rick was employed at Barton Mines in North River and for Eric and Eric construction. 

Rick was a gentle and loving soul who adored his family and made an impact on the lives of all those he met. He will be missed dearly by those who were privileged enough to know him. 

Preceding Rick to his heavenly home were his beloved father, Gerald Washburn, and his beautiful sister, Brenda Washburn Fallon, Left to cherish his memory on earth are his wife of 30 years, Bonnie (Culver) Washburn, his mother Marilla Washburn, his stepson Robert Ball (Trina) and his surviving siblings Gerald “Cub” Washburn (Vicki), Terrance Washburn (Donna), Michael Washburn (Tammy) and Pamela Washburn Ross (Rick) and his brother in law, Kelly Fallon. Rick will also be remembered fondly by his many nieces, nephews and extended family who will miss his dry sense of humor and his infectious laugh. 

The family would like to express gratitude to the wonderful caregivers from High Peaks Hospice for their compassionate care during Rick’s final days. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Rick’s name to an animal shelter or organization of your choice. 

GLENS FALLS – Baylen Andrew Burlingame, Age 41 of Glens Falls, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday evening, May 2, 2024.

Born on July 31, 1983 in Ticonderoga, he was the Son of the late Donald Burlingame and the son of Doreen Godin of Glens Falls. Baylen was a true redneck at heart and will be remembered for his remarkable ability to see the beauty in others and his unwavering love for those around him.

Baylen’s passion for life was evident in every aspect of his being. He possessed an incredible talent for fixing anything that came his way, a skill that earned him the admiration and gratitude of countless individuals. Baylen was an extremely hard worker and took pride in his work. His willingness to lend a helping hand knew no bounds, and he selflessly assisted anyone that was in need.

Beyond his mechanical prowess, and his tough and rough exterior, Baylen had a heart of gold. His genuine care and concern for others touched the lives of so many. His kindness will forever be etched in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.

In his free time, Baylen enjoyed the great outdoors, whether it was hunting, fishing, camping, boating or simply soaking in the beauty of nature. He cherished the simple pleasures in life and found solace in the tranquility of the outdoors. He had a love for his cars and trucks and enjoyed making something out of nothing. He loved spending time with his children, taking them on picnics, and camping trips.

Baylen’s passing leaves a void that can never be filled, but his legacy of love, generosity, and resilience will continue to inspire and uplift those who were fortunate enough to have been touched by his presence.

Baylen is survived by his family, including his mother and step father, Doreen & Peter Godin of Glens Falls; his children, Alexis Burlingame of Rutland, VT, and Payton and Dominic Burlingame of West Glens Falls, NY; his brothers, Raymond Burlingame of Surgoinsville, TN, Walter Burlingame of McMinnville, TN, and Craig Burlingame of FL; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A memorial and celebration of life service will be held on Friday May 10, 2024 at Mount Zion Church, 207 Redmond Road in Gansevoort NY under the direction of Pastor Nathan Deming. Calling Hours will be from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm and a celebration of life service will be held at 2;00 pm. An invitation for friends and loved ones to gather to celebrate Baylen’s life and honor his memory.

Though Baylen’s physical presence may no longer be with us, his spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him. May he rest in peace, knowing that his legacy will continue to bring light and love into the world.

James Pentaudi, born November 24, 1952, has returned home with our Lord and Father on April 29, 2024, to be reunited with his wife Lisa in heaven.  He is survived by his two brothers, Don Pentaudi from Florida and John Pentaudi from Ohio, his church family, and his friends.

Memorial services will ne held at Master’s Hand Global Ministries, 13 Leonard Street in Gansevoort on Friday Evening 5/3/2024 from 6 to 8 p.m. for all his friends and family.

HUDSON FALLS – Larry K. Cook, 77, of Hudson Falls, reunited with his beloved wife Marnalee, on Friday, April 26, 2024.

Born on September 24, 1946, in Little Falls, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Doris (Lieber) Cook.

Larry was a graduate of Hudson Falls High School.  Shortly after graduation, he served in the United States Army in Vietnam as a member of the Military Police.  During his time in Vietnam, Larry helped train and manage German Shepherds.

On December 19, 1987, he married Marnalee Sitterly in Hudson Falls.  They spend 30 wonderful years together until she went to prepare their reunion on January 12, 2017.

Larry worked for General Electric in Fort Edward.  After he retired from GE, he worked for Wellers NAPA Auto Parts in Hudson Falls, delivering parts across the area.

Larry loved going to camp and riding his side by side.  He took meticulous care of his side by side, never letting it get muddy.  Larry also loved his grand puppy, Maggie.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his brothers, Russell Cook and Alan Cook.

He is survived by his children, Gordy (Meredith) Cook of Hudson Falls, Steven (Katie) Cook of Fort Edward, Craig (Kaitlyn LaMay) Cook of Moreau and Andy (Allyson Froeschl) Kubricky; his grandchildren, Eli Maille-Cook, Olivia Cook, Nathan Cook, Jhetta Lyn Mellon, Cody Dunlavey, Mariya Robbins, Jaden Kubricky and Fisher Switser; his sister, Patricia (Pat) Laroche; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours will be on Sunday, May 5, 2024, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.

At 4 p.m., the Hudson Falls American Legion Post 574 will give military honors for Larry.

QUEENSBURY – Catherine (MacCarthy) McLenithan, 78, of Eagan Road, passed away peacefully and privately on Sunday, April 28, 2024, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born November 2, 1945, in Yonkers, Katie was the daughter of the late John and Antoinette (Dell’Accio) MacCarthy.

Katie was a graduate of Pine Bush Central School in Orange County. Following high school, she attended Albany Business College and graduated with an Associate Degree in Accounting.

She married Richard McLenithan on July 23, 1967, at the Church of The Infant Savior in Pine Bush, New York.

Katie began her longtime accounting career in the early 1970’s working for DeSantis Enterprise as the assistant office manager. This was Katie’s first exposure to working in a large office environment with the responsibility of managing and staffing multiple Howard Johnson restaurants throughout the greater Glens Falls/Queensbury area. It also included a restaurant in Herkimer, New York. Katie considered this a great training job which prepared her for future opportunities.

Prior to working for DeSantis Enterprise, Katie worked many jobs that gave her the confidence, experience, and knowledge she needed to be successful. She was so proud of herself for starting out with a two-year degree in accounting. She took advantage of every learning opportunity that came her way. She also figured out that the only way to get a raise was to move on to a new job. 

Katie’s final job was working for Rick McClenning at Premier Dairy Service, LLC in Argyle. When she joined Premier Dairy, Katie was the accounting manager for Rick and dealt directly with the accounting firm that prepared the company’s income taxes and yearly final statements. When the business sold to the Swedish company, Delaval Inc. in 2014, Katie’s expertise with the company’s accounting was recognized and she continued to work for them until retirement. When Katie retired, she was the head bookkeeper and proud of it. Katie also found time to help her husband with his law practice.

She loved her profession and never considered her jobs as work. To her, they were her hobbies. She also loved to cook. Katie could look at a recipe once and create a dish without looking at the ingredients again. She loved to travel. Katie and Dick travelled extensively in their lifetime throughout the United States and Europe often accompanied by other couples. After retirement, Katie also traveled extensively with her sister.

Katie was the matriarch of her family. She always made sure the holidays were perfect with beautiful decorations, lots of food, and making memories to last a lifetime.

Even though Katie was a very private woman, she was part of a group of women she had hired when she was at Howard Johnson. In 1989 Rayna Henry approached Katie about meeting once a month for dinner. The ladies, known as the “Ho-Jo Girls” who were there at the start were Rayna Henry, the late Julie Malan, Kathy Durkee, Katie Mclenithan, Ann LaRose, and Paula Pendergast. Several years later, they were joined by friends Connie Rawlins and Susan Holbrook. The women are still meeting after all those years.

In addition to her parents, Katie is predeceased by her brother, John MacCarthy.

She is survived by her husband, Richard E. McLenithan of Queensbury; her children, Sarah McLenithan (Nick Ignazio) of Glens Falls, and Daniel (Yaniris) McLenithan of Lebanon New Hampshire; her grandchildren, Jeremiah Fenton, Anna Leah McLenithan, and Henry McLenithan; and her sister, Antoinette “Toni” Gagan of Pine Bush.

Katie is also survived by the Ho-Jo Girls; her longtime childhood friends, Josephine Dill and Marilyn D’Angelo and her longtime friend and Hudson Falls neighbor, Irene Marshall.

Katie’s family would like to thank High Peaks Hospice for their support. They would like to especially thank Renee Belinger for her patience, guidance and compassion given to Katie in her final days.

HUDSON FALLS – Robert W. Quinones, Sr., 64, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, following a short illness. His loving wife was by his side.

Born January 17, 1960, in Middletown, New York, Robert was the son of the late George and Anita (Cole) Quinones.

Robert was a 1979 graduate of Westwood High School in New Jersey.

He was a professional painter for several years employed by Better Than New Painting of Hudson Falls. Robert took immense pride in his work and never disappointed his employers or customers.

Robert married the love of his life, Teresa Santanello on February 16, 1985, at a quaint ceremony in The Township of Washington, New Jersey.

He was an avid bicycle rider. Robert rode his bike everywhere throughout Warren, Washington, and Saratoga Counties. He even talked his brother Gary into taking a bike ride with him. Robert led Gary to Ticonderoga and eventually ended up at Rogers Rock State Park. He loved listening to all kinds of music. One day it would be Ozzy and the next day it would be Patti LaBelle. He loved playing the drums. There were countless weekends when Robert and his friends got together and played music for his family and the neighbors. Robert also loved being outdoors, spending time fishing, kayaking, and gardening.

Most of all, Robert was an amazing husband, father, and grandfather. He loved his children unconditionally and taught them that there is nothing more important in life than family. Robert took his children’s friends under his wings and loved them as his own. He was a father figure to them all. His legacy will forever live on in his children and grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Robert was predeceased by his brother, Gary Quinones.

Survivors include his loving wife, Teresa Quinones; his children, Mark Presher, Renee (Frederick Presley, III) Quinones, Sharlee (Michael Misch) Quinones, Robert (Kelsee) Quinones, Jr., John (Jodie Jacinto) Quinones, Elizabeth Quinones, Selvin Guity, and Tammy LaRock; his grandchildren, Shawn, Aaron, Abrianna, Evelyn, Maeson, Gage, Kayden, Marlowe, Michelle, Cameron, Mikel and Tiana Guity and Ian LaRock; his brothers, Raymond Quinones, Danny (Loopy) Quinones, David Quinones, and Greg Quinones. Robert is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

HUDSON FALLS – Cecilia M. (Winters) Nolin “Cie”, 68, of Hudson Falls, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, with her loving brother by her side.

Born August 13, 1955, in Troy, New York, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Elizabeth (Stevens) Winters.

Cie was a graduate of Tamarac High School.

She married the love of her life, Mark R. Nolin on October 8, 1983, at St. George’s Church in Pittstown New York.

Cie began working in the medical device manufacturing business at NAMIC in Glens Falls. She faithfully stayed with the company as they became Pfizer, Boston Scientific, Navilyst Medical, and finally Angio Dynamics. She retired after 37 years of dedicated service.

Every Spring, Cie looked forward to gardening and watching her flowers grow. She was talented when it came to crafts and loved making something with her hands that came from her heart for her family and friends. Anyone who knew Cie knew she loved and adored cats. She always looked forward to the family camping trips in Port Henry. She found peace while boating and fishing on Lake Champlain with her brother and nephews. Cie loved warm water and sunshine and would make a trip to Jamaca two to three times a year. However, the greatest moments in her life were spending time with her cherished nephews Evan and Garett.

In addition to her parents, Cie is predeceased by her husband Mark R. Nolin and her loving and faithful cats Squirrel, Frances, and Princess.

Cie is survived by her brother Duane and his wife, Nancy Winters of Pittstown, and her cherished nephews Evan and Garett Winters of Pittstown. She is also survived by Marks family, her in laws, Dick and Marsha Nolin of Fl, Paul (Rhonda) Nolin of AL, Beth (Keith) Harris of GA,  Matt Nolin of AL, and Lisa (Michael) Atkinson of AL; her nieces and nephews on Marks side of the family, Savannah (Addison) Lee, Joseph Nolin, Trevor Woodstock, Amanda Woodstock, Victoria Atkinson and Natalie Atkinson; and her great niece on Marks side, Georgia Lee. Cie also leaves behind her loving and faithful cat, Inky.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 am on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at St. Mary’s/St. Paul’s Catholic Church, 11 Wall Street in Hudson Falls.

Burial will be private following the Funeral Mass.

FORT EDWARD – Tracy L. Ruthosky, 58, formerly of Fort Edward, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, April 20, 2024 at her home in South Glens Falls with her family at her side.

Born on April 28, 1965 in Glens Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Michaelene Lattman. Tracy married the love of her life, John Henry Ruthosky, Sr. on May 18, 2002 on the Park in Hudson Falls. The couple have enjoyed over 40 years together and were getting ready to celebrate their 22^nd wedding anniversary. In Tracy’s early years, she worked at CR Bard in Glens Falls.

Tracy’s greatest enjoyment was spending time with her beloved grandchildren. She also enjoyed crocheting, bingo, visiting with her friends, and using her tablet to do paint by number art.

In addition to her mother, she is predeceased by her brother, Terry Gannon.

She is survived by her beloved husband, John Henry Ruthosky, Sr. of South Glens Falls; her son, John Henry Ruthosky, Jr. (Lisa) of Albany; her daughter, Patricia Howe (Bryan) of Fort Edward; son-in-law, Frank Howe of Cambridge; grandchildren, Madelyn and Michael of Georgia, Noah and Elijah of Albany, Isaiah of Albany, and Gabriel of Fort Edward; and many nieces and nephews.

HUDSON FALLS – Keith C. Bishop, Jr., 53, a longtime resident of Hudson Falls, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 21, 2024, peacefully in his sleep.

Born March 30, 1971, in Glens Falls, he was the son of Keith and Mary (Foster) Bishop.

Keith was a 1989 graduate of Hudson Falls High School. During his high school career, Keith played baseball, soccer, and basketball. Following graduation, Keith entered the United States Army and proudly served his country for four years in Germany and Stateside.

Keith drove a school bus for the Hudson Falls School District for several years. He then went on to work for Finch & Pruyn as a truck driver. At the time of Keith’s passing, he was employed at Irving Tissue driving a Midland tractor trailer.

He was an avid Golfer and loved every minute he was able to be on the greens. He was a true outdoors man when it came to hunting, fishing, camping and nature. He was also a huge fan of NASCAR racing. Most of all, Keith loved the Buffalo Bills and a cold Bud Light. However, his greatest love was his family.

In 2002, Keith entered a free throw competition sponsored by the NY Lottery and won the local competitions which included regional and state. By winning the state competition, he was invited to Madison Square Garden to throw a basketball during half time at the NY Nicks and Philadelphia 76er’s game from half court. Low and behold he surprised everyone and made the basket. He sent Madison Square Garden into a frenzy and won a million dollars. Alan Iverson of the 76er’s went out and shook Keith’s hand. Later, Woody Allen reached out to Keith and invited him out to dinner. It was a great moment in Keith’s life that will forever be talked about.

Keith is predeceased by his maternal grandparents Mary Patricia and Neal Foster, his paternal grandparents Margaret and Chester Bishop, and his uncles Richard and Daniel Foster.

In addition to his parents, Keith is survived by his loving wife Shannon (Shafer) Bishop; his daughters, Brooke Bishop and her companion Geoffrey Fuller, and Emily Bishop and her companion Derek McFarren; his beautiful granddaughters whom he loved dearly, Aliyah, Avery, and Brinley; his sister Margaret (Donald) Weaver, and his brother, Scott (Kimberly) Bishop; and his nieces and nephews Claire, Taylor, Cheyenne, and Mason. Keith is also survived by his stepdaughters Bryanna, Antonella, and Aryanna, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A funeral service will take place at Carleton Funeral Home, Inc. on Friday, April 26, 2024, at 1 pm.

Rite of Committal will take place at Moss Street Cemetery, 3097 US 4, Hudson Falls, New York immediately following the funeral service.

Keith’s family would like those who own Buffalo Bill’s attire to join them in honoring Keith by wearing something Buffalo Bills.

SOUTH GLENS FALLS – Martha Jean (Disorda) Wright, formerly of Hudson Falls, passed away Friday morning, April 19, 2024 at Glens Falls Hospital.

Born on April 13, 1950, in Middlebury, Vermont, she was the daughter of the late Reginald E. and Freda Lillian (Eubar) Disorda.

Martha grew up in the Middlebury area and was a graduate of Otter Valley Union High School. On July 1, 1972, she married Charles A. Wright in Forestdale, VT.

Martha enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her children and granddaughter, and also enjoyed camping, swimming, and traveling. 

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by two brothers, Robert and Ronald Disorda; a sister, Diantha “Joan” Disorda; a nephew, Reginald “Gege” Disorda.

Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Charles A. Wright, Sr. of South Glens Falls; her children, Charles A. Wright, Jr. of Hudson Falls, and Stacy E. Wright of Queensbury; her granddaughter Allison Gallinari of South Glens Falls; her siblings, Reginald Disorda (Margaret), David Disorda (Arlene), and George Disorda (Judy) all of Vermont, Scott Disorda (Rita) of Virginia, and Rebecca Conway of Georgia; sisters in law, Lana Disorda and Sandra Pominville both of Vermont; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Friends may call from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls. A funeral service will follow at 12:30 pm at the funeral home.

Burial will be at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Stillwater.

FORT EDWARD – James B. St. John, age 78, departed this world comfortably and peacefully surrounded by his loving family, on Wednesday, April 18, 2024 at Glens Falls Hospital.

Born on December 16, 1945 in Glens Falls, James was the beloved son of the late Bruno J. and Mary E. (Maxam) St. John. After a dedicated 42-year career, James retired from the Glens Falls Portland Cement Company.

He was predeceased by his brother, Joe (Mary), and Pete; sisters, Rosemary Torchetti (Ed), Loretta, and Carol; parents-in-law, Regina (Parthenais) and Noel Tessier; Sister in law, Rita Saucier (Donald); and brothers in law, Ray (Dawn) Tessier, and Michel (Doralee) Tessier, leaving behind cherished memories with numerous special aunts, uncles, and cousins.

James married the love of his life, Annette (Tessier) on April 24, 1966 at St. Paul’s Church in Hudson Falls, celebrating 58 wonderful years of marriage.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Annette; Son, Bruno, his wife Amy, and their children, Maeghan, Joseph, Kristin, Shawn and J.R.; daughter, Rita, her husband Robert Perry, with children Nathan and Danielle; daughters Irene M. St. John and Elizabeth M. St. John and her significant other, Kevin Morris. He also leaves behind six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and close friends who treasured him dearly. James also leaves his sister, Elaine and sister-in-law, Jill St. John.

A true family man, James was a talented carpenter and craftsman who shared his father’s passion for woodworking. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, camping, and taking scenic drives through the Adirondacks, always in search of wildlife. His beloved beagles and restoring old Jeep Willys and Adirondack guide boats with his father and brothers were among his favorite pastimes. James devotedly remodeled his family home from the ground up with the help of his family and friends.

Known for his wit and humor, his favorite sayings included “I don’t want to start any trouble, but…” and “Hey, your shoes are tied.” Along with a playful jab at modern technology: “Don’t be putting my business on the space-book!”

We extend heartfelt thanks to Dr. Amy Hogan and Dr. David Davitowitz and express our profound gratitude to the nurses and staff at Glens Falls Hospital Tower 3, including Sister Donna, for their compassionate care.

Friends may call from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Monday, April 22, 2024 at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls. A service will follow at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery in the town of Kingsbury.
