HUDSON FALLS – Etta June (Harriman) Barber, 81, a long-time resident of Kingsbury, was reunited with her husband in Heaven, on Friday, February 25, 2022.

Born May 26, 1940, at Glens Falls Hospital, she was the daughter of the late Marjorie Mae (Spear) and Clifton William Harriman. 

Etta was the eldest of eight children and grew up on Vaughn Road in Kingsbury.  She attended Hudson Falls High School and graduated in 1957.

On September 20, 1959, Etta married her best friend, Otis Barber, at the First Baptist Church in Hudson Falls.  They shared over 50 years of marriage together until his passing on April 17, 2010.

Etta was very proud to have lived in Hudson Falls her whole life, creating a wonderful family alongside her husband, Otis. She worked for Bentley Insurance Company, and other agencies for over 30 years, with her good friend, Eleanor Duell.

She was a devout Christian as well as a dedicated member of the First Baptist Church in Hudson Falls. The church was the foundation of her life, and she was always giving of herself to everyone. She shared many years with her church family and friends making lasting memories along the way.

As well as her faith, Etta treasured her family.  She raised six children, creating lasting memories during family vacations to York Beach, Maine and family outings at Lake St. Catherine. Etta loved watching the birds, especially the cardinals, and found solace in the peacefulness of the ocean.

Not a Christmas would go by without celebrating with the Harriman family at First Baptist Church.  Etta cherished the moments with all her family, including her grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

Besides her parents and husband, Etta was predeceased by her siblings, Charles Harriman, Robert Harriman, Dianne Graham; and her brother-in-law, Terry Bennett.

Survivors include her children, Valerie Barber of Glens Falls, Todd Barber of Salem, Scott Barber of Hudson Falls, Melanie Legault (Matthew) of Granville, Timothy Barber (Shelly) of Queensbury and Andrew Barber (Donna) of Saco, Maine; Her siblings, Cliftene Pettit, Clif Harriman, Rose McGowan and Anita Bennett; her brother-in-law, Bernard Graham; 16 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Thursday, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main St., in Hudson Falls.

A funeral service will be held, Saturday, 11 a.m., at the First Baptist Church, 118 Main St., in Hudson Falls. A celebration of her life will be held at Kingsbury Volunteer Hose Co., 3715 Burgoyne Road in Hudson Falls, immediately following the services.

Burial will take place in the spring, at Moss Street Cemetery in Kingsbury.

Memorial donations may be made in her name to the First Baptist Church of Hudson Falls, 118 Main Street, Hudson Falls, NY 12839.

QUEENSBURY –Robert D. “Bob” Sawyer, Sr., 82, a long-time resident of River Street, passed away on Thursday, February 24, 2022, at Fort Hudson Nursing Facility in Fort Edward.

Born on December 21, 1939, in Hartford, he was the son of the late Alfred and Alverta (Woodell) Sawyer.

He served his country in the United States Marine Corps, where Bob met and fell in love with his future wife, Christine Doroghazy, in Quantico, VA. On March 3, 1961, they were married in Washington, D.C.  Christine passed away on October 8, 2006, after 46 years of marriage.

With his wife, Christine, they owned and operated the Coldbrook Bar on River Street in Hudson Falls, for many years.

Besides his parents, Bob was predeceased by his half-sister Jeanne Ryther Smith; his half-brother Donald Sawyer; his sister Patricia Sawyer; his brother Gary Sawyer; and his infant sister Phyllis Sawyer.

Survivors include his son, Robert D. Sawyer and his wife, Dolwinya of Queensbury; his granddaughter, Ashley Lynn Sawyer (Todd Stanley) of Queensbury; his brother, Richard Sawyer of Queensbury; his brother, Kenneth Sawyer (Christine) of Queensbury; his brother, David Sawyer (Cathy) of Seymour, Texas; his brother, Ricky Sawyer (Carol) of Queensbury; his sister, Debbie Lemery (David Hoffman) of Booneville; many cousins, nieces and nephews; and his dog, Miguel.

Bob will always be remembered for his generosity, quick wit and sense of humor.

Memorial donations in memory of Bob may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

There will be no calling hours.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

HUDSON FALLS – Gail A. (Henderson) Paquette, 66, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2022 at the Haynes House of Hope in Granville, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on May 13,1955 in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late James and Shirley (LaRich) Henderson.

Gail attended Glens Falls High School and later obtained her GED.

On December 31, 2012, she married Donald Paquette at the Glens Falls City Hall.

Gail was an outdoor person, who loved camping and fishing with her husband.  She also treasured the memories of her travels to Hawaii and Lake Placid.   Gail enjoyed life, always finding a reason to throw a party.  She loved being around people and her beloved cats.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Norma Henderson and her brother, Joseph Henderson.

Survivors include her husband, Donald Paquette of Hudson Falls, her daughter, Audrey Hamilton of Longs, SC; her granddaughter, Gemma; her siblings, Sam Henderson, Jim Henderson and Diane Persons; and several nieces and nephews.

Burial will be in the spring at Union Cemetery.

HUDSON FALLS – Joanne M. Moffitt, 89, of Harrison Avenue in Hudson Falls, went to be with her husband, daughter and son on Saturday February 19, 2022 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on May 3, 1932 in Lawrence MA, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Eugenie (Houle) Cadotte.

Joanne married James Moffitt on May 7, 1950 in North Creek.   He passed away on June 7, 1992, after 43 years of marriage.

For over 25 years, she worked as a waitress at JeRay’s Restaurant in Queensbury.   Joanne also worked at the former Pudgy’s Pub in Hudson Falls.   She loved her job and made wonderful friends with those she worked with and those people she served.

Joanne was a communicant of St. Mary’s/St. Paul’s Church in Hudson Falls.   She also was a member of the Hudson Falls Business and Professional Women’s Club “BPW”, where she was President at one time.  Joanne was very proud to have been recognized as Woman of the Year for BPW.

She loved to travel.  For many years, Joanne enjoyed camping and traveling in her motor home to Maine with her husband, James and following his death with Edward Porter, until his death.  Prior to his death, she enjoyed camping and traveling every winter to her Florida home, with her friend, Ernest Jennings, to visit her sisters and Florida friends.

Joanne was all about her family, as they were the center of her life.  She treasured every moment sharing stories, laughter and hugs.  Joanne was lovingly known as “Nana” to everyone.

Besides her parents and husband, Joanne was predeceased by her son, Michael Moffitt, her daughter, Cathy Benway and her great grandson, Spencer.

Survivors include her children, Steven Moffitt and his wife, Connie of Diamond Point and Gary Moffitt and his wife, Patricia of Westminster, Maryland; her daughter in law, Joan Yost- Moffitt of NJ; her son in law, Patrick Benway; her grandchildren, James Moffitt and his wife, Kelsie of NJ, Ryan Benway and his partner, Chris Batkay of Hudson Falls, Andrea Benway of Hudson Falls, Justin Moffitt and his wife, Alex of Dallas, Texas and Amanda Moffitt and her partner, Louis Ahola of Albany; her great grandchildren, Justice Harris, Liberty, Serenity and Foster, all of Hudson Falls; her siblings, Claire Parker, Rita Demers, Lorraine Connor, Gloria Quinlan and her husband, Bob and Alfred Cadotte and his wife, Fran; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call on Thursday, February 24, 2022 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.

Funeral Services will be held privately for the family at the funeral home.

The Rite of Committal will be conducted in the spring at Fort Ann Cemetery.

HUDSON FALLS – Ursula C. Caivano, 83 of Hudson Falls, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 13, 2022, at her home.

Born on August 3, 1938, in Formicola, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Raffaele and Angelina (Sparano) Cappella.

At the age of 14, during WWII, she immigrated to the United States to live with her aunt and uncle, Camilla and Rocco Seymour.

On September 29, 1957, she married the love of her life, John “Tony” Caivano. Together they shared 62 wonderful years until his passing in 2019.

For several years, she worked as a seamstress for Troy T Shirt Factory in Glens Falls. When she and John started their family, she focused on her greatest loves, her husband, her sons and later on her grandchildren and great grandchild.

Ursula enjoyed crocheting, knitting and playing the slots. She was a hardworker who took pride in taking care of her family, her home and especially her vegetable garden. She made sure supper was always on the table for her husband and her sons, so they were well fed with her wonderful cooking, before they headed off to work.

Ursula will be remembered for her family being the center of her life and for her strong Catholic Faith.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, her in-laws Dominic and Mary Caivano, her sister-in-law Ann Roberts, and several other relatives.

Ursula leaves behind her three sons, who held a special place in her heart, John and his wife, Joan, Dominic and his wife, Brenda, and Michael and his wife, Lisa; her grandchildren, Ben, Sarah and Emily; her great-grandson, Dean; her sister, Pasqualina Cappella; her sister-in-law Rose Coffey, her nephew Jim Coffey, her niece Rosangela Cappella in Italy, and several cousins and friends.

The Funeral Mass for Ursula C. Caivano will be celebrated 11 a.m. on Friday, April 29, 2022, at St. Mary’s/St. Paul’s Church on the park in Hudson Falls.

FORT EDWARD – Kenny Mallory, 37, of Fort Edward, passed away Monday, February 14, 2022, at Glens Falls Hospital due to heart complications, surrounded by his loving family.

Born May 31, 1984, in West Palm Beach, Florida, he was the son of John LeViner and Brenda Mallory. Kenny, who was named after Kenny Rogers, was a loving and caring, father, son, brother and uncle.

There was not a person he met who did not love him. He was known to be a jokester and loved all kinds of music. Kenny was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan and loved to bake. His family loved that he could make a cake from scratch.

Kenny was predeceased by his grandparents; a sister-in-law, Patricia LaRock; and his cousin, Lexus Sterling.

He is survived by his parents, John LeViner and Brenda Mallory; two special father figures, Paul Ferguson and Luis Frias; his children, Emma, Davion, Chloe, Kenny, Jr. and Oden; brothers and sisters, Charlie Mallory, Marlene Bowling and her significant other, Michael DePietro, Eugene “JR” Bowling, and Angel Bowling and her significant other, Chad Benedict; several nieces, nephews and cousins, including his special cousins, Heather and Chris; and his close friend Dan.

Hudson Falls – Pamela I. Edwards, 58, of Hudson Falls, passed away peacefully Saturday morning, February 12, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family.

Born on October 8, 1963 in Hudson Falls, she was a life-long resident and daughter of the late John and Teresa (Wever) Plude.

Pamela was a 1981 graduate of Hudson Falls High School. She participated in the BOCES program, working as a Candy Striper at the Hospital. After graduating, she went to work for Magrams for 12 years. On September 20, 1986, she married Joseph R. Edwards, Jr. and, shortly after, started Jopama’s Custom Woodworking with both Ma’s where she ran the store and was responsible for finishing the woodwork. Later, she worked for Nature’s Gift and Homestead, arranging activities and Buffalo trips.

Pamela enjoyed helping out at the pig roast at Beamers and loved to bake for parties and any occasion. She loved sitting by the fire, playing pool at the Fun & Games League where she was also the secretary/treasurer.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her brother-in-law, Rich Edwards and her mother and father-in-law, Joseph Edwards, Sr. and Barbara Edwards.

She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Joe Edwards of Hudson Falls; her sister, Arlene Plude of Hudson Falls; her brothers, Bob Plude of Glens Falls and John Plude of Argyle; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Nurses on T-6 and T-2, especially Michelle and Rob on T-2 and the doctors and nurses in the oncology department at Glens Falls Hospital.

In accordance with Pamela’s wishes, there are no calling hours. A celebration of life for friends and family to attend will be held at Pamela and Joe’s home by the backyard fireplace at the convenience of family.

HUDSON FALLS – Rosemary Cecilia Hart Nolan drew her last breath on February 8, 2022, surrounded by her loving family, after being admitted to Glens Falls Hospital for Covid-19 and several other complicating factors. She had recently joyfully celebrated her 83^rd birthday on December 28th, again in the company of her loved ones.

Rosemary was born December 28, 1938, the first daughter of Robert Emmett Hart and Elizabeth Mary Gildea Hart. She grew up in Hudson Falls, attended St Mary’s School, and graduated from Hudson Falls High School in 1956. In those days, she was an accomplished pianist, an Elvis fan and always at the forefront of fashion, but her great passion was looking after people and so she headed off to Jeanne Mance School of Nursing at Bishop Degoesbriand Hospital in Burlington, Vermont. Her nursing studies were interrupted but she never gave up her dream of becoming a Registered Nurse and, after working several years at Glens Falls Hospital as a PN, she graduated in the first Nursing Class of Adirondack Community College. Her nursing career took her to Clarksburg, West Virginia and later to Lennox Hill Hospital in Manhattan, where she met her future husband, Michael Nolan, a native New Yorker of Irish stock. They married on Columbus Day, October 12, 1969 and made their home in Sunnyside, Queens until the pull of her hometown became so strong that she and Michael along with their two young sons, Patrick and Andrew, eventually moved to the area, where she began looking after the various members of the Hart/Gildea clan while still working full time and raising a family. They settled down on Russell Street, the same street that she had lived on as a little girl. After several years of life as a foursome, they welcomed a little daughter, Moira Grace. Rosemary was active in the Democratic Party; following in the footsteps of her parents, she became a Washington County Democratic Party Committeewoman. Her final employment before retirement was at Great Meadows Correctional Facility.

Rosemary was the organizer of the large Hart/Archambault family get-togethers, birthday parties and high school class reunions. She arranged all the details for two family trips to Ireland, one in 1968 and another thirty years later in 1998. Her home was always open to friends and neighbors and she loved nothing better than to welcome visitors and invite them in for a chat, a swim and to share her sharp wit and humor. She became a doting grandmother when Hannah was born in 2001 and later delighted in the company of Fiona and Freya, who formed a mutual admiration society.   Rosemary was a lifelong fan of Days of Our Lives and Jeopardy, so much so her friends and family knew not to call during those times.

Rosemary was predeceased by her parents, infant daughter, Colleen, beloved sister, Christie Hart Rodriguez, and cherished son, Patrick Robert Nolan.

Those who remain to keep her memory alive include her husband of 52 years, Michael William Nolan; her son, Andrew Nolan and his wife, Beth Ann Nolan; her daughter, Moira Grace Nolan and Richard Ficarrotta; her brother, Bernard John Hart; her sisters, Kathleen Malone Hart and Margaret “Peggy” Ellen Hart; her granddaughters, Hannah Rosemary Nolan, Fiona Christie Ficarrotta and Freya Anne Ficarrotta. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Luis Rodriguez and several nephews and nieces, as well as grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins.

The family would like to thank the nurses of 3 North, especially Kenzie, Marcus and Arianna, and the Respiratory Therapists at Glens Falls Hospital; her doctors, Dr. Amy Hogan-Moulton and Dr. Stoutenburg; and her caregivers, Lynn McCrann, Lynn Ellmers, Debbie Stemp, and Sharon Dingman, for their care and support.

Rosemary will be laid to rest 9:30 a.m., on Monday, February 21, 2022, at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, in Schuylerville.

HUDSON FALLS – Thomas Vaughn Newton, 91 of Hudson Falls, passed away peacefully Friday morning, February 11, 2022 at Glens Falls Hospital.

Born on July 10, 1930 in Salamanca, NY, he was the son of the late Benjamin Charles and Bertha Catharine (Hohmann) Newton.

Thomas grew up in Salamanca and was a graduate of Salamanca High School. He enrolled at Cornell University for his undergraduate work, graduating in 1952, and went on to work on his Master’s studies at SUNY Plattsburgh, University at Albany, Alfred University, Buffalo State University, Pennsylvania State University and the University of Vermont. While studying at Cornell University, he met his future wife, Barbara Story, they were united in marriage on December 27, 1954 at the North Argyle Presbyterian Church. Thomas was a United States Army Veteran and served his country during the Korean War.

Early in his career, Thomas worked on the family farm. He later taught Agriculture Education at West Valley Central Schools, Hudson Falls Central Schools and then at the Washington-Saratoga-Warren-Hamilton-Essex BOCES, where he retired in 1988 after 35 years of service.

Thomas was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church in Hudson Falls, where he served as a trustee, volunteered on many church committees, and taught Sunday School. He was a member of the National Association of Agricultural Educators, NYSUT, NEA and the Cattaraugus Lodge 239 Free and Accepted Masons. Thomas was proud to serve as a tour guide at Grant’s Cottage in Wilton and was a charter member of the German-American Society of the Adirondacks. He was very fond of traveling in his retirement, enjoying several trips to Europe, the South Pacific, Hawaii, Alaska and much of the United States. 

Affectionately known as O’pa to his grandchildren, he was a dedicated and devoted supporter in attending any and all of, their sports, music and educational events and accomplishments from pre-school right on thru the years.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his infant brother, Benjamin Charles Newton, Jr.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Barbara Newton of Hudson Falls; his children, Catherine Newton-Quinn and her husband, Sean of Burlington, VT, Thomas V. Newton, Jr and his wife, Suzanne of Lake George, and Karl F. Newton and his wife, Suzanne of Ballston Spa; his grandchildren, Caroline Quinn of Burlington, VT, Connor Quinn of Portland, OR, Benjamin (Raye) Newton of North Adams, MA, Eric Newton of Boston, MA and Second Lieutenant Kyle Newton USA, Clarksville, TN; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.

Friends may call on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 from 5 pm to 7 pm at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.

A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at First Presbyterian Church of Hudson Falls, 5 River Street in Hudson Falls. Masks are required for funeral attendees.

Burial will be in the spring at Moss Street Cemetery on State Route 4, Kingsbury.

SOUTH GLENS FALLS – Arden “Art” H. Joiner, 81, passed away peacefully Saturday afternoon, February 12, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loved ones.

Born November 17, 1940, he was the son of the late Alexander and Ruby Joiner.  He was the 5^th of 8 children.

Arden dropped out of high school at the age of 16 and then lied about his age to get a job at a local mill.  He was married at the age of 17 and became a father at the age of 18.  He married again and at the age of 22 became a father to 7 more children.  His children meant the world to him.  He lost his wife, Kathleen, October of 2012, two weeks before their 50^th wedding anniversary.

Arden earned his GED 30 years after leaving high school.  He then attended A.C.C. and earned several credits.  Arden mastered many trades and built many houses in the Glens Falls and Saratoga area.  After their children were on their own, Arden and Katherine moved to Manteno, IL where Arden worked at a builder.  He loved being a father and grandfather.  Arden loved a good fight if anyone messed with his family.

Besides his parents, Arden was predeceased by his brother, Claude; his sisters, Cara, Nellie, Alice, and Nina; as well as four of his sons, George, Frank, John and Smokey.

Survivors include his son, Richard; his three daughters, Debbie Fuller, Charlene Lee-Bishop and Kathy Rose; his partner, Patty Coles; his brother Bernard Joiner; a sister, Sue; as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.

Arden spent the last of his years working with the developmentally and intellectually disabled which he referred to as his 2^nd family.  He was very close to his people he served, his coworkers and office personnel.

A graveside service will be held in the spring at Southside Cemetery in South Glens Falls.

HUDSON FALLS – Michelle Ann LeBarron, 52, of Hudson Falls, died peacefully on Sunday, February 6, 2022.

Born on August 8, 1969 in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of Patricia M. (Webster) LeBarron of Fort Edward and the late Donald E. LeBarron.

Michelle was a 1987 graduate of Hudson Falls High School and continued her education at Adirondack Community College. She studied criminal justice and graduated with an associate degree.   For many years, she worked for The Warren County Department of Corrections.

Michelle’s faithful companion was her beloved black lab, Ella.   Anyone who had the pleasure of meeting Michelle, would remember her great, outrageous sense of humor.  She was fun to be with, witty in her conversation and could light up a room.   Michelle had a generous heart of gold.    

Besides her father, she was predeceased by her nephew, Thomas John Chickanis.

Survivors include her mother, Patricia LeBarron of Fort Edward; her siblings, Tammy Chickanis of MD, Don LeBarron and his wife, Barb of Ballston Spa, Stephen LeBarron and his fiancé, Renee Bolton of Plattsburgh and Judy Pelton and her husband, Hank of Glens Falls; her former sister in law, Debbie LeBarron of Saratoga Springs; her nieces and nephews, Christopher Chickanis, Nicholas Chickanis, Sarah Headwell, Emily LeBarron, Abigail LeBarron, Rachel LeBarron, Madeline LeBarron, Loressa Schulze, Henry Pelton, MacKenzie Pelton and Benjamin Pelton; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 15^th, at St. Mary’s/St. Paul’s Church on the park in Hudson Falls.

HUDSON FALLS – Alfred “Al” “DeeDee” Parker, 78, of Hudson Falls, passed away on Friday, February 4, 2022, at his home, with his loving family by his side.

Born on April 18, 1943, in Whitehall, he was the son of the late Barbara Goodsell.

Al attended Hudson Falls High School on Main Street and took great pride in playing basketball for the late Coach Anthony “Tony” Luciano.

Throughout the years, he worked as a carpenter locally for many companies and took great pride in partnering with his friend O.B. Smith, to create O.B. Smith Builders.  Al’s craftsmanship can’t be missed in the area.  While driving around with him, he would always point out the places he worked on and tell you a story or two about when or how they were built.  He had a part in many of the homes and businesses constructed in the area including the Heidelberg Inn Restaurant on Quaker Road, his mother’s home located at 10 Chestnut Dr. in Hudson Falls and grandmother’s home in Fort Ann. 

Al could be found walking throughout Hudson Falls, always stopping to socialize with friends or anyone that would listen.  He especially loved visiting with the girls at TD Bank as well as Em & Debbie Lewis and the staff at Lewis Super.  Al spent so much time at Lewis’s, he knew who was working and who he’d be visiting with that day.

In his later years, Al enjoyed watching old movies, listening to classic country (especially his other girlfriend, Loretta Lynn), keeping up with what was happening on John Street and working on his word search book while drinking a cup of coffee.  He was also an avid sports fan, following the Dallas Cowboys, the New York Yankees and the Philadelphia 76’ers.  Al was also a huge WWE fan, with “Stone Cold” Steve Austin being his favorite.   

In addition to his mother, he was predeceased by his uncles, who were like brothers to him, Owen “Tinker” Goodsell, Richard Goodsell, Robert Goodsell, Clifford Goodsell, Arnold “Bootsie” Goodsell and Donald Goodsell.

Al is survived by his significant other, Ruth Elmore, whom he has shared 57 beloved years; his #1 daughter, Nancy Keays, her husband, Bill “Willy Dilly”, his #1 son, Charles “Charlie” Parker and his wife, Elana; his grandchildren, whom he adored, Logan “Logie Dogie” Parker, Makayla “KK” Parker and Elliana “Ellie” Parker; his aunt, Mary “Mernie” Webb and her significant other, George Maynard; his uncle, Harold “Todd” Goodsell and his wife, Gerry and several cousins.

Friends may call on Saturday, February 12, 2022, from 1 to 3 p.m., at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.

A time of remembrance will be conducted 3 p.m. on Saturday, at the funeral home, following the calling hours.

Burial will be in the spring at Brown Cemetery in West Fort Ann.

Following the services, there will be a gathering at Broadway Lanes in Fort Edward.

HUDSON FALLS – Terrence “Terry” B. Mickle, 71, of Hudson Falls, passed away unexpectedly, at his home on Thursday, February 3, 2022.

Born on Christmas Day, December 25, 1950, in Troy, he was the son of the late Norman and Mary Mickle.

Terry was a graduate of Lansingburg High School and furthered his education at Hudson Valley Community College, earning his Liberal Arts degree. While at Hudson Valley, he met his future wife.

On November 28, 1975, he married Mary Morrison in Lake Pleasant.

Terry worked for Troy Bilt for several years until their closure, he then started working for the NYS Canal System.  While there he made good friends.  Following that he went to work for Great Meadow in the Maintenance Department and again developed may long lasting friendships.

Faith has very important to him.  He was a lifelong devoted member of the Catholic Church.  Terry enjoyed the outdoors, doing yardwork and working on his car.  He will be remembered for being helpful, kind and always enjoying a good joke.  Terry loved watching football, especially with his friend Ed Kroner, and it didn’t even matter what game or team was playing.  He also enjoyed action movies.  Most of all, his family was the center of his life.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his oldest brother, Norm Mickle.

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Mary Mickle of Hudson Falls; his twin brother, Tom (Coleen) Mickle of Schenectady, Patrick (Lisa) Mickle of Clifton Park and Mary Grace (Ed) Johnson of Clifton Park; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The Rite of Committal will be in the Spring at Airdville Cemetery in Lake Pleasant.
