William S. Hudson

QUEENSBURY – William S. HudsonHudson, William, 79, passed away after a long courageous battle with cancer, on Monday, March 19, 2018, at the Glens Falls Hospital, with his family and friends by his side.

Born on February 11, 1939, he was the only child of the late Earl and Marjorie Hudson.

Bill enjoyed going on cruises, going to the casino and playing a round of golf.  His greatest love was his camp, fishing and riding on his pontoon boat with his family and family, on the Hudson River.

Bill owned and operated Hudson Converting for 40 years.  He could build or fix just about anything.  Bill was known for lending his helping hand to anyone in need.

He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Loretta of Queensbury; seven children, Tim (Jane) Hudson, Stephen (Phyllis) Hudson, Sabrina Hudson and her companion (Edie) Garner, Samantha (Doyle) Williams, Amanda (Paul) Scharmer, Edith Hudson and Valerie Hudson and her companion (Ernie Bennett); his cousin, Carl (Nora) Thomas; his brother in law, Richard Lefebvre; his step children, Michael Baird (Julie Jarvis), Teresa (Mike) Hanley, Leslie Baird and MaryAnn (Dwayne) McKinley; 10 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and many close friends.

At Bill’s request, there will be no calling hours or services.

There will be a memorial service at a later date at the convenience of the family.

The family would like to thank Dr. Taylor, Dr. Frank and Jeff Greene at the radiation department.  Dr. Gillini and the staff at the Cancer Center and Dr. Anthony Petracca at Irongate.
