Wilfred “Joe” Ball

Ball YoungQUEENSBURY – Wilfred “Joe” Ball, 58, of Eldridge Rd, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 11, 2015, at the Glens Falls Hospital.

Born on July 8, 1957, in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late Owen and Susan (Robillard) Ball.

Joe grew up Pawtucket, RI., where he attended school.  He moved back to this area and spent the rest of his life here.

Joe was a dedicated mechanic, who loved working on cars.  He was known for taking care of his own car, family’s cars and his friend’s cars.   Joe also enjoyed teaching his sons and grandchildren how to repair cars.    After he worked on them, you could be assured that they were in top shape.

Joe had a wonderful toothless smile that made everyone around him feel loved.  Most recently took up fishing with his future son in law.  Joe was also a wonderful cook, especially preparing the best spaghetti and hotdog sauce.   He enjoyed listening to classic country music, watching the “Best Little Whorehouse in Texas” and also shows on TV Land.

Joe loved his children and grandchildren.  He was an amazing father with a heart of gold, who would do anything for anyone.  He was a loving and devoted grandfather who will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his granddaughter, Raelyn Ball and his sister, Mary Ball.

Joe is survived by his beloved girlfriend, Linda Rohne; his children, Darlene “Patty” Fuller and her husband, Thomas, Jessica Ball and her fiancé, Peter Helm, Lisa Quill and her husband, Edward, Joseph Ball and his fiancée, Ashley Winchell and Owen Ball and his fiancée, Brieanna Loveland; his 14 grandchildren, Thomas, Taylor, Bradley, Cody, Andrew, Cameron, Kyle, Rylee, Isaiah, Becca, Caleb, Jayden, Paisley and Joshua; his eight brothers and sisters, Susan Bridge, JoAnne Allard, Madeline Johnson, Tyrone Ball, Owen Ball, Brian Ball, Donna Boulanger and Shawn Ball; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call on Sunday (today) from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.  To respect Joe’s wishes, please dress for calling hours as Joe would have seen you everyday.

Burial at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Fort Edward will be later in the week at a time to be announced.

    Hon when I got that phone call that you had passed away my heart was ripped right out of my chest. Hon that Friday morning, September 12, 2015 When we was talking on the phone about getting back together and starting over fresh and telling each other how much we loved each other and how much we wanted to get back together if I would of known it was gonna be the last time we talked I would of never got off the phone from talking to you. This December 17th we would of been married 3 years. That first time I saw you on Speed Date it was love at first sight and when you ask me to marry you and I said yes you was surprised. We had our good times and our bad times but we got through them. You was the kindest and nicest man I’ve known. My life isn’t going to be complete without you in it. I loved you then, I love you now and I will always love you. Babe you where the love of my life. I know you are up there looking down on me and protecting me. Unil we meet again in Heaven you will be forever in my heart and always on my mind. Baby and me are going to miss you so much. Babe I love you with all my heart. Till we meet again in Heaven.
