John C. Weber

HUDSON FALLS – John C. Weber, of Hudson Falls and Proctor, VT, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, September 12, 2018.

John was born on September 17, 1958, in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late John and Helen Weber.

John grew up in Hudson Falls and attended Hudson Falls Schools.  He worked for many years Native Textiles before they closed.  He was currently working at Angiodynamics in Queensbury.

John enjoyed hunting, fishing and building things out of wood.  He enjoyed making toy boxes for his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Mary.

He is survived by his children, Kira Weber (Phillip Ball) of Stillwater, Staff Sergeant Kristopher Weber of Jacksonville, NC and Kyle Weber of Feeding Hills, MA his grandchildren, Wyatt Ball of Stillwater, Emily Weber of Fayetteville, NC, Briana Weber-Lovelace of St. Cloud, FL and Jaelah Ball of Stillwater; his fiancé, Karen Davis and their dog, Nina of Proctor, Vermont; his sisters, Pat DeLong (Raymond, Bev Cheeney (Robert) and Lynn Bailey (David); his former wife and mother of his children, Joanne Weber of Stillwater; and many nieces, nephews cousins, aunts and uncles.

Memorial services will be conducted at 1p.m. on Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.

The family has asked in lieu of flowers to make a donation in John’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Weber, John F.HUDSON FALLS- John F. Weber, 90, of Hudson Falls passed into the arms of the Lord on Wednesday, April 18, 2018, at the Glens Falls Hospital.

Born on December 27, 1927, in Troy, New York, he was the son of the late Joseph Patrick and Mary Catherine (Speanburg) Weber.

John attended St. Mary’s School in Hudson Falls.

He was a U.S. Navy Veteran Seaman First Class from May 4, 1945 to August of 1946.

John married Helen E. Shaw in 1950, in Fort Ann. She passed away in 2012 after 62 years of marriage.

He started his career as a welder for General Electric in Hudson Falls, and later moved on to Fort Edward, retiring after 45 years of service.

In his younger years, John was a volunteer fireman for Kingsbury Volunteer Hose Company.  As John had a love for animals, he enjoyed working on the Sczostack Farm as well as, the Bishop Farm.  In his free time, he loved to play baseball.

John was someone who was always there for anyone in need, willing to lend a helping hand. In his later years, he got much pleasure by sitting on his porch and keeping track of the neighborhood.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Helen; his daughter, Mary, his grandsons, Roy Schult, Ryun Bailey; his brothers, Joseph, George, his twin brother, Robert, Harold and Gene and his sister, Betty Duncian.

Survivors include his four children, Patricia DeLong and her husband, Raymond, Jr. of Hudson Falls, Beverly Cheeney and her husband, Robert of South Glens Falls, John Charles Weber and his significant other, Karen of Hudson Falls, Lynne Bailey and her husband, David of Hudson Falls; his two brothers, Paul and Jimmy Weber; twelve grandchildren; several great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call on Friday, April 20, 2018, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street, Hudson Falls, NY.

Burial will take place following the calling hours at the Union Cemetery.
