Susan Pauline Tracy

TracySOUTH GLENS FALLS – Susan Pauline Tracy, 69, of South Glens Falls, passed away with her husband by her side, on Saturday, June 28, 2014, at the West Mount Health Care and Rehab Center, after a long battle with cancer.

Born August 6, 1944, in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late Augustus and Grace DeMers.

Susan was a graduate of Hudson Falls High School.  On May 9, 1965, she married Edward J. Tracy at St. Paul’s Church in Hudson Falls.

Susan worked for police dispatch in the village of South Glens Falls, and was co-owner, operator of Wash N’ Dry Laundromat in Corinth.  She also was a daycare provider for many children over the years.

She enjoyed camping and traveling from Quebec to Florida.  Her life revolved around her children, grandchildren and he

r great-grandchild.

Besides her parents, Susan was predeceased by her sister, Patricia Vrooman, and a grandson, Brayden Tracy.

Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Edward Tracy of South Glens Falls; her children, Elizabeth Stuver and her husband, Thomas of Fairport, Lynn Billington and her husband, Floyd of South Glens Falls, Pamela Youker and her husband, Steve of South Glens Falls, Michael Tracy and his wife, Bristie of South Glens Falls; eight grandchildren, Nicole Stuver, Matthew Stuver, Amanda Brueder and her boyfriend, Brandon Boyer, Heather Billington, Travis Billington, Bryce Brueder, Michaela Tracy, Juliana Tracy; her great-grandaughter, Alina Boyer;her siblings, David DeMers and his wife, Marti of New Paltz, Carol Grant of Hudson Falls;  as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street., in Hudson Falls.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Thomas Babiuch, pastor of St. Mary’s/St. Paul’s Church officiating.

The Rite of Committal will follow at St. Paul’s Cemetery in the town of Kingsbury.
