Terrence E. Sullivan

HUDSON FALLS – Terrence E. Sullivan, died Sunday morning, March 30, 2014, at Glens Falls Hospital, after a several year struggle with heart failure and cancer.

He was born on October 2, 1937 in Glens Falls, the eldest son of the late John E. and Vroqua (Morgan) Sullivan.  Terrence graduated with honors from Hudson Falls High School, class of 1955.

 He always worked from his early teens on.  Terrence was employed as a helper building houses with his uncle, Payson Morgan.  He worked several years at Naco Paper Stock in Fort Edward and retired in 2002 as a custodian at Suny Adirondack.  Terrence was very well read, especially in history and politics.  He was an avid gardener. 

Terrence was predeceased by his father John in 1957, his mother Vroqua in 2001, his youngest brother, Corey in 1977 and several aunts and uncles.

Survivors include his brothers, Neil Sullivan and his wife, Helen of Argyle, Sean Sullivan of Waterford; his nephews, Patrick Sullivan, Thomas Sullivan, both of Argyle; his aunt, Ruth Manfredo of Tonawanda, and many close cousins.

Terrence’s family would like to thank Dr. Pillemer and the staff at C.R. Wood Cancer Center for their exceptional care and compassion given to Terrence and his family.  

There will be no calling hours or funeral service.

Private graveside services will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery in the town of Fort Edward, later in the spring.
