Raymond A. Taylor Jr.

Taylor, RaymondKINGSBURY- Raymond A. Taylor Jr., 64, road off into the clouds from Albany Medical Center on Sunday, September 3, 2017.

Born on December 21, 1952 in Glens Falls he was the son of the late Raymond Andrew Taylor, Sr. and Mabel Mae Stark.

Raymond was a Glens Falls High School 1970 graduate and attended Adirondack Community College in the first computer classes offered.

On October 26, 1980, he married Pamela LaVoy at Lake George.

Raymond worked for Finch Pruyn for 42 years before his retirement.

He was a member of Adirondack HOGS and Adirondack Riders. Raymond’s greatest joy was his grandchildren. He loved long trips on his motorcycle, including riding to California for his honeymoon. Raymond loved fixing computers, he loved to watch his sons wrestle and bowl. He loved his children dearly.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Dawn Chamberlain-Lathbury

Survivors include his wife, Pamela LaVoy of Glens Falls; his children, Raymond A. Taylor, III and his wife, Stacey of Farmington, NY, Michael and his wife, Theresa of Manassas, Virginia, and Jennifer Taylor of Kingsbury; his grandchildren, Andrew Sandow, Zackary Sandow, Elliana Long; his sister Marybeth Tenne and her husband, Donald of Queensbury, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family would like to thank all his friends at McDermitts Harley Davidson in Fort Ann for all their support.

Services will be at a later date at the convenience of the family.

Ida Marie Taylor

HUDSON FALLS – Ida Marie Taylor, 99, passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2013, at Wesley Health Care Facility in Saratoga Springs.

Born March 19, 1914 in Montreal, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Lucy (Hamel) Viger.

Her husband, E. Stewart Taylor, died May 7, 2001.

Mrs. Taylor worked for 19 years as an inspector at the General Electric Co. in Fort Edward.

In addition to her husband and parents, a son, Jackie Taylor and several brothers and sisters all died before her.

Survivors include one daughter, Nancy Norman and her husband, Abe, of Hudson Falls; her grandchildren, Jill Norman of Hudson Falls and Michael Norman of Virginia; her great-grandchildren, Marie Schroeder of Hudson Falls and Cain Michael Norman of Texas; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call from 9:30 to 10:30 am on Saturday, at the Carleton Funeral Home, inc., 68 Main St., Hudson Falls.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 am on Saturday  at St. Mary’s/St. Paul’s Church, on the park, in Hudson Falls with the Reverend Thomas Babiuch, pastor, officiating.

The Rite of Committal will follow in St. Paul’s Cemetery in the town of Kingsbury.

The family suggests memorials in Mrs. Taylor’s memory be made to the Hudson Falls Volunteer Fire Department, 220 Main St., Hudson Falls, NY 12839
