HUDSON FALLS – Sandra J. (Golden) South, 61, of Hudson Falls went into the arms of the Lord on Monday, December 29, 2014, at the Glens Falls Hospital.
Born on November 7, 1953, in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Marie (Ambrose) Golden.
Sandra attended Hudson Falls Senior High School.
On December 11, 1998, she married Daniel South in Glens Falls.
She worked at Troy Shirt Guild, formerly located in Glens Falls and for many years was the front desk clerk at the Clearview Motel in South Glens Falls.
Sandra liked being with her friends on South Street, going to Racino and trips to Atlantic City. Most of all, she loved her family, watching football, reading and doing word searches.
Besides her parents, she is predeceased by a nephew, Audie Diffee, Jr.
She is survived by her husband of 16 years, Daniel South of Glens Falls; her daughter, Crystal Marie Barrett of Fort Edward; her son Thomas H. Barrett, Jr. of Whitehall; four grandchildren, Ashley Conlon King, Christopher Conlon, Jr., Jeramya Denton and Samantha Howe; her siblings, Gloria Koc and her husband Thomas, Patricia Diffee and her husband Audie, Laura Bazan, Thomas Edward Golden and Timothy James Golden; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and for over ten years, her very special companion, her teddy bear Goofball.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, January 6, 2015, at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main St., Hudson Falls.
Prayers will take place at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, during the calling hours.
