QUEENSBURY – Rebecca “Becky” Yell, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, September 27, 2014, at the Glens Falls Hospital.

 Born on December 19, 1965, in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of Catherine VanTassell and Michael Dougher.

 Becky was a graduate of Hudson Falls High School.

She loved listening to the group Sublime. Becky enjoyed dancing, but most of all she cherished spending time with her family. She loved traveling, especially Maine, where she lived at one time.     Becky was somewhat of a character, who loved making people laugh, but on the other hand, she was very humble. Becky was a talented cook, who made the best food ever. She loved animals, especially her family pets and was always trying to help someone in need. Becky was known for bringing kids home, in order to give them a meal.

She is survived by her son, Adam John Rouse of Queensbury; her parents, Catherine VanTassell and Michael Dougher of Queensbury; her siblings, Mary Beth Yell and her significant other, Russell Gosselin, Jr. of Hudson Falls, Wyman Yell of Hudson Falls, Eric Yell and his wife, Jean of South Glens Falls, Warren Yell of Queensbury, John Yell of Queensbury, Peter Yell, Jesse Dougher of Queensbury and Jordan Dougher of Queensbury; several nieces and nephews, that loved her dearly; and many cousins and wonderful friends, that are left to cherish her memory.

Friends may call on Saturday, October 4, 2014 from 10 to 12 noon, at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.

Prayers for Becky will be said at 12 noon, following the calling hours.

The family has asked that memorial donations be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
